This excerpt from Sindbad's Second Voyage describes his encounter with the enormous legendary bird, the Roc. When Sindbad is stranded on an uninhabited island, all he can see is the sea all around for miles and finds no means of escape. On finding a giant dome, he starts looking for a door or a way into it. That's when the Roc descends over him and he realises that the dome is the egg of the Roc.
