🌍 Patient Involvement on a Global Scale 🩺 During the EUPATI Annual General Meeting in September, Claudia Egher (Utrecht University) shed light on the disparities in global patient engagement: This process mostly thrives in developed countries, but lags in countries facing historical inequalities, regulatory gaps and accessibility challenges. In her presentation, Claudia highlighted various possible solutions that should be implemented: ✅ Culturally adapted engagement to boost participation. ✅ Multilingual, accessible education for patients worldwide. ✅ Building long-term relationships to foster trust. ✅ Flexible, stage-specific training for diverse patient needs. ✅ Policy advocacy for equitable access in underserved regions. ✅ Early integration of patient perspectives in drug development for greater relevance. 💡 A global shift is needed to ensure patient voices are heard everywhere. Let’s work together to close the gap! #PatientEngagement #HealthEquity #EUPATIAGM2024 #EUPATI #HealthInnovation #DEI

In an era where medicine is as complex as the diseases it aims to treat, involving patients isn't just beneficial—it's imperative. Patient insights drive the development process, from initial design to regulatory approval. This approach isn't just about compliance; it's about crafting therapies that genuinely help those who need it. When patients are the cornerstone of our development strategy, it leads to faster trial enrollments, particularly in rare diseases. It helps us navigate the regulatory landscape more effectively by aligning early with patient needs and expectations.
On the heels of an inspirational week at #ISMPP and #Asembia, we’re excited to share our latest collaboration with Envision's Strategic Consulting Patient Advocacy with Jasmine Patel, MPH, Envision the Patient with Amanda Boughey, and Founder of 5KforJK/Envision Marketing Advisor Jessica Krauser. At Envision, we're setting a new standard by embedding patient engagement deeply into our drug development process. This isn't just best practice – it's our practice, driving a 19% higher success rate in market launches. By aligning closely with EMA and FDA engagement guidelines, we ensure our therapies not only meet regulatory paths but also truly resonate with patient needs – and that also means listening to them at every step along the way. Bridging the gender gap in clinical research is essential for advancing equitable healthcare. Women are massively under represented in clinical trials, leading to gaps in understanding how different treatments affect us. This has resulted in many overlooked health issues specific to women. Clinical trial design and utilising tools to find a diverse cohort of participants for trials is one part of making a step change in the development of life changing treatments. #womenshealth #femtech #innovation

🤖 AI in Healthcare: A Tool for Innovation, Not Replacement 🤖 AI has the potential to redefine healthcare, particularly in drug development and patient support. But it’s not here to replace human touch; it’s here to enhance it. In drug development, AI helps repurpose existing treatments for new applications, saving time and reducing costs—critical steps in patient-centered healthcare. Patient advocacy can also leverage AI to help organizations support newly diagnosed patients by making information readily accessible. COVID-19 proved that digital connections are essential, pushing many advocacy organizations online. The same urgency can be applied to integrating AI for personalized support. 🔹 Key Points: AI can drive innovation in drug development by repurposing existing drugs efficiently. Advocacy organizations can use AI to enhance their ability to reach and inform patients. Many advocacy organizations discovered the value of digital connections through platforms like Facebook during the pandemic. Integrating AI into advocacy isn’t about removing human support—it’s about making that support more accessible and impactful. By using AI, we can help patients find resources faster, reducing the burden of searching for information when it’s most needed. In a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, AI isn’t a replacement for human care; it’s an opportunity to build a more responsive, accessible, and patient-centered support system.a Are you ready to unlock the potential of patient advocacy? 📖 Discover how advocacy can bridge the gap between patients and healthcare organizations, driving better outcomes and innovation. 📥 Download our white paper "Bridging the Gap: Unlocking the Power of Patient Advocacy" to explore data-driven strategies, insights from industry leaders, and actionable recommendations for creating a more patient-centered future. 👉 Get your copy now: http://archo.io/ebook #AIInHealthcare #PatientAdvocacy #DigitalHealth #Innovation #bridgingthegap
