There's a common misconception that hiring takes a back seat post Thanksgiving, however this couldn't be any different in the manufacturing world. 𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀: Why wait until January when the job market is saturated with applicants? By starting your search now, you’ll: • Get ahead of the January rush. • Access opportunities with start dates before Christmas. • Navigate a less crowded market. If you’re based in the #Detroit or #GrandRapids metro area, I have several great opportunities available with start dates pencilled in before Christmas! 𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀: January can be a competitive and hectic time for hiring, but starting now allows you to: • Secure top talent while others are waiting until after the holidays. • Avoid the rush and delays that come with January hiring bottlenecks. • Build momentum going into 2024 by having key roles already filled. If any of this resonates with you, let’s find time to connect over the next couple of weeks. 📧 dan.brennan@acepartners.com

We surveyed 1,000 grads to ask them what would make them stay longer in a role. The results are clear: career growth and development matter far more than salary, flexibility or workplace culture. Here’s what they prioritised: 1. Clear career progression opportunities - 51% 2. Opportunities for training and skill development - 20% 3. Increased salary and benefits over time - 12% 4. Positive workplace culture and management support - 10% 5. Flexibility (e.g., remote work, flexible hours) - 6% With nearly 70% of grads ready to leave due to limited growth or training opportunities, it’s clear that L&D is critical for retention, so I'd love to hear frm anyone in my network as to what companies are doing to counter this. Cheers! ✌️ & 💛

*Recruiting Education* Q4 is an ideal time to start recruiting, as it aligns strategically with the transition into a new fiscal year. Companies often use the end of the year to evaluate performance, set goals, and plan for the future, making it the perfect moment to bring in a leader who can help shape the upcoming year’s strategy. Many employees are also considering career changes in Q4, reflecting on their accomplishments and seeking fresh opportunities for the new year. Additionally, beginning the search now ensures that the new hire can be onboarded in Q1. With a typically slower business pace during the holidays, it’s also a great time for candidates and hiring teams to dedicate focused attention to the recruitment process without the distractions of peak-season demands. If you're looking to start recruiting for a position in Q4, let's connect. #realestate #recruiting #people #search

Job activity usually slows down in December and January—that’s no surprise. Many businesses take a step back, plan for the year ahead, and put hiring on hold. But here’s something you might not expect: candidate activity actually increases during this time. Why? As the year winds down, many professionals start to reflect on their careers and think about what’s next. They’re actively searching for new opportunities, even while employers are pressing pause. They often have a little more time on their hands to focus on themselves too. This creates a unique window for hiring. With fewer businesses recruiting, you have a real chance to stand out and secure top talent before the competition picks up again in post silly season. And let’s be honest—starting the new year with your team already in place gives you a serious advantage. So, should you hire now and plan for the new year? Absolutely. The candidates are ready. There's still time. The question is, are you? For those thinking of a move and wondering when the right time might be, reach out now. Let’s talk.

Why wait for the January scramble? While others hit pause, strategic companies seize the moment to secure top talent now. Candidates are looking - even during the holidays - so why not get ahead and kick off 2025 with your dream team already in place? Smart hiring starts today. Let’s make it happen. hello@leansixsearch.com #ExecutiveSearch #HiringStrategy #ExecutiveRecruitment #LeanSixSearch #CareerGrowth
Here we go again... It happens every year. As the holidays roll in, hiring plans take a backseat. “We’ll wait until January,” "no point in hiring now, majority of the next 6 weeks is holidays' they say. But here’s the catch: come January, the number of roles posted triples, and with it, so does the competition for top talent. Meanwhile, strategic companies know that hiring now puts them ahead of the curve. Candidates are looking (yes, even during the holidays), and there’s less noise from other job postings. Plus, with all the intros, onboarding and integration already sorted you start 2024 strong with your dream team already in place. Don’t wait for the January rush. Be the company that plans ahead and wins. #executivesearch #januaryhiring #hiringstrategy #Leansixsearch #recruitment

Reflecting on the insights gained from the CLO Exchange, this article on talent marketplaces couldn't be more relevant. As the costs of external hiring escalate, the focus on internal mobility has never been more critical. There have been several impactful projects that have helped shape my career, and it's encouraging to see how programs like these are increasingly making opportunities more accessible, empowering employees to grow and evolve within their organizations.
