It seems no one is verifying submitted #MotorCarrier and #FreightBroker application data on every application for Operating Authority. That's a serious oversight! Every day, potentially fraudulent operating authority certificates are issued unchecked. If the very first act in entering the freight industry is lying on the application, (a violation of federal regulations); odds are more fraudulent activity will follow. Issuing Operating Authority to unidentified and/or non compliant entities poses substantial risk in terms of safety and security. Thankfully, FreightValidate ✅ steps in at the point of application approval by updating our system to thwart fraud. This means that during the ten-day protest.
