🏠 How do you insulate a Victorian house? Read about how Furbnow helped one of our Birmingham customers plan, design and install everything from insulation to an air source heat pump and solar PV in Grand Designs Portfolio! 📜 Their home energy improvements were integrated as part of their renovation plans, starting with our Home Energy Survey and Plan. “Another key learning was timing: get the assessment done as early as possible. If we’d had that measure in place before our builders broke ground, I think that would have made the process smoother.” 💚 We're so proud of the impact Furbnow is having on our customers lives, getting their home energy projects started that they've struggled with for years, even in more complex, Victorian homes. 📩 Drop me or hello@furbnow.com a line if you've been thinking about improving your own home's energy performance for years but struggled to know where to start. #energyefficiency #retrofit #netzero
Would be great to hook that solar up to EV charging via a cross-pavement Kerbo Charge channel so that they can enjoy 5x to 10x cheaper charging on grid and even cheaper on solar!
Loved reading this Becky - what a great article!

1moSo encouraging and uplifting to see a sensible and honest article about the good news stories of traditional building retrofit. The case is clearly compelling and both stories show that different paths are possible. For those with resources to do it on their own and for those whose lives are improved by a community scale project. Well done to all involved. Becky Lane thanks for sharing this (and for doing what you do). This is helping to raise me out of a recent slump in confidence that businesses like mine designing retrofits have a bright future.
