It is 4 pm the day before Christmas Eve. Not going to change my fate in the next hour, so I'm out. Hold your own close, and don't forget about those alone this holiday season. I'm counting the holidays I have left with my kids before they take off. Think about what you really value and how you're going to live in the new year. I want more of the good life in 2025. This is going to mean working harder, working smarter, bringing in more work, moving my cases more efficiently, bringing more ease in the process, more value, making clients feel they have been served better, more networking, more marketing, more learning. We trade life for life. We trade our time for dollars and buy what we need and want. When I spend a dollar I'm spending money I bought with my life. It's all about the exchange rate. What do you want more of in 2025? Less of?

No plans this #holiday season? You’re definitely not ALONE!!! If you’re NOT planning a break to reset or recharge Here’s a fresh idea for you: ➡️ Set up your digital goals. ➡️ Learn the skills that align with those goals. ➡️ Teach someone else to reinforce what you learned. This won’t make you perfect, but it’ll definitely: ➡️ Give you clarity. ➡️ Let you learn without the pressure. ➡️ Help you become more confident. P.S. Are you taking a break? 💜 (I’m not just yet, as today marks Day 84 of my 90-day consistency challenge). #LinkedIn

As we almost hit December we wanted to share some easy top tips to help you get ready for the new year. It’s always a great time to take a moment and reflect, and as an employer, there’s a couple of questions you can ask yourself to assess where you are and if you’re ready for the new year. ☀️Holiday - even if your holiday year starts and ends at a different time, check in on what people have left and remind them to get booking. If it’s holiday year end, get your records in shape for the new year. 📍Fixed Term reviews - have you got any fixed term or temporary contracts ending soon? What plans do you have for those employees? Is there a need for them to stay? Is now a good time to look at doing things differently. 💬 Reviews - have you got a plan for your 121s and reviews for the new year? What are your own ‘what went wells’ and ‘even better if’s’ ⚽️Goals - what goals are you setting for the new year, are you working on existing ones? What does success look like and how are you doing in working towards them. 🎉 Celebrating success - what have you achieved this year? What is worthy of a shout out? How are you planning on celebrating success this coming year? What else might you add to the top tip list? We’d love to know!

Dear stakeholders (aka my LinkedIn connections), As we approach year-end, I’m initiating a planned downtime from LinkedIn to optimize for Q1 readiness and conduct a deep dive into personal recharging initiatives. Translation: I’m taking a holiday break. This year has been a high-impact engagement cycle - collaborating, networking, and sharing value-driven insights with all of you. But now it’s time for some non-billable activities (e.g., family, chess, and eating way too much). For those of you also considering a holiday sprint, I highly recommend allocating bandwidth for reflection, rest, and big-picture ideation. Wishing you all a highly synergistic holiday season filled with 360-degree joy and positive ROI on your downtime. See you in 2024, refreshed and ready to move the needle together! 🎉 (And yes, that was my last bit of jargon for the year.)

With the 4th of July holidays behind us, it's time to look at our strategies to maximize outbound efforts for the summer. Your prospects will most likely be OOO more often during the summer (especially if you're targeting certain geographies). So to make sure you're maximizing the effectiveness of your campaigns: 1️⃣ Pause your campaigns before holidays When you have a holiday coming up, make sure to pause a day after or before the holiday. That way your response rates won't drop and sequences will run as they should when your prospects are back in the office. 2️⃣ Create personalized follow-ups: In case you still do get OOOs, it would be great to create a subsequence to reach back when they're back behind their desks again. You could make it personalized and have fun with it (share about your own holiday, etc.). Tools like lemlist or Instantly.ai can help you build those subsequences and automate them. 3️⃣ Leverage Other Channels They may not check their inbox but they may check their socials. Try Twitter or LinkedIn. lemlist enables you to go multichannel within the same outbound cadence. Or you may want to try La Growth Machine or HeyReach to automate your LinkedIn outbound. Summer in general is a tough time for sales. But with the right strategies you can still generate some solid leads and close some good deals. What are some of your favorite summertime sales strategies?

THIS POST WAS SCHEDULED. I’m currently OOO for the holidays (as we all should be!) Just keeping it real, friends, because it’s very, very important to me that business owners understand that— —you do NOT have to post every day and be on your phone 24/7 to grow your community and make sales on social media. On that note, let's revisit the little “experiment” I did last summer... Here’s what I did last July: I took the week COMPLETELY off from social media. No posts, no IG stories, no DMs. Yes, I wanted to prove a point. BUT ALSO… I needed a break 🤷♀️ If we treat our businesses like past jobs, working for someone else, unable to take time off when we want…then what are we doing this for? WHAT HAPPENED: I didn’t open Instagram for 7 days, and although I was expecting downward engagement and losing followers, I had a reel continue to circulate…so I actually GAINED followers and my engagement stayed in the green. Accurate representation of your typical account ghosting IG for the week? Nah. BUT! Imagine what I would have missed out on if I continued working on vacation, worrying about any negative stats. What a waste, huh? I got lucky - sure. I welcomed vacation with open arms, unplugged and got to live in the highlight reel instead of just posting it. But honestly, I was prepared for low numbers when I returned and felt confident about coming back with ease due to the prep work I put in before peacing out ✌️ So, just wanted to leave you a little reminder that you'll regret missing out on these moments with your people a LOT more than you'll regret losing a little momentum on your favorite social media app. It'll be there waiting for you when you're ready to get back to it 💞 Happy Holidays, friends! #emilyschwalbach #instagramforbusiness #indianapolis #indy #smallbusiness
