New Leadership Changes at Target announced!
Target Corporation has announced key promotions to strengthen its leadership team that will take place right after the 4th of July Holiday. Looks like these strategic moves will place merchandise and AI to help move the company foward and position them for growth.
🔹 Rick Gomez has been promoted to Chief Commercial Officer. Currently serving as Chief Food, Essentials, and Beauty Officer, Gomez will now oversee Target's entire #merchandising business, including apparel, accessories, home, hardlines, and owned brand sourcing and design. He will report directly to CEO Brian Cornell.
🔹 Christina Hennington has been promoted to Chief Strategy and Growth Officer. Previously Chief Growth Officer, Hennington will work closely with Cornell and Target's leadership team to drive the company's growth initiatives, leveraging technology and generative AI to enhance operations. She will continue to report to Cornell.
🔹 Lisa Roath currently Chief Marketing Officer, will become Chief Merchandising Officer of Food, Essentials, and Beauty in early 2025, while Target searches for her successor.
