Say hello to Oof—your new, well-meaning (though sometimes overactive) best friend! Oof is a pain signal and quite misunderstood. Far too often we view pain as something negative. On the contrary, pain plays a big role in keeping us safe!
At the Meg Foundation, we know that explaining pain—especially to kids—can be tough. That’s why we use characters like Oof and other illustrated friends to help kids and families understand pain and their experiences with it. These visual metaphors make the complex world of pain care approachable, relatable, and (even) fun!
💜 Your support helps us continue creating content and resources that make pain, and pain care, easier to understand, more approachable, and more empowering for kids and families (and healthcare providers, too). As we head into the end of the year, please consider giving a gift to help us build on this important work and reach that many more kids and families.
This is 'bigger' than fundraising—it’s about changing lives.
