Back in the summer, I took a chance and offered my friend Kyle something crazy. “What if we could build a brand and website for your business in one day?” Kyle took a chance on me and accepted. A few weeks after that coffee, we jumped in and had a great time (check out the recap of the day at https://lnkd.in/gzNykvTP). As a result, Kyle spent less time having to worry about a long, drawn out process for a logo and website build. He spent more time beginning the pursuit of his dream to get his videography business off the ground. And I must say…we're pretty dang proud of the results. Some kind words from Kyle: "The process was easy and intuitive. Not only did Miner Creative go above and beyond my expectations in building my website, they made the process incredibly smooth and seamless." - If you're a creative, small business owner that needs a new website for 2025, I would love to support you. Right now, I'm offering $500 OFF a website in one day! 3 years ago, we thought a "good" website was all I needed. ✨ Trendy colors? Check. ✨ Fancy fonts? Double-check. ✨ ... Results? Crickets. I couldn’t figure out what went wrong. Everything looked amazing! Then it hit me: Looking good wasn’t enough. Clients weren’t booking because my website didn’t guide them—it just dazzled them. Here’s what changed: I stopped designing to impress and started designing to connect. ✅ I focused on making my site easy to navigate. ✅ I added clear, irresistible calls-to-action. ✅ I made sure my brand spoke to my ideal client’s needs. That’s when the magic happened. My website started working for me, not against me. So, coaches: Ask yourself— Is your website just "pretty"? Or is it smart enough to turn visitors into clients? 💬 Tell me—what’s one thing your website needs right now? Let’s chat! 💻✨

Stop overloading your website with text if you want your website to attract new clients Less is more when it comes to the info you need on your site. Potential clients need to be able to make an informed decision but that essay you’ve essentially written on your homepage isn’t going to cut it. Focus on the outcomes your clients want when looking to work with a business like yours and spare the fluff. They don’t need an airy-fairy description of why coaching is good or the evolution of graphic design in the last 50 years. Keep it short, sweet and concise using plenty of headings. Need an expert pair of eyes on your website to make sure you’ve not strayed into essay-territory? My Website Whizz website audit service is just what you need. Comment WHIZZ for more information. Top 3 Website Mistakes Small Businesses Make (and How to Avoid Them!) 🚫 1. Not Mobile-Friendly With more people browsing on their phones, a website that isn’t mobile-optimized is a missed opportunity! Make sure your site looks great on all devices. 🚫 2. No clear Call-to-Actions If your visitors don’t know what to do next, they’ll bounce. Add clear, bold CTAs to guide them—whether it’s to shop, contact, or sign up! 🚫 3. Outdated Design & Content Your website is often your first impression. Keep it fresh with modern design and regularly updated content to stay relevant and trustworthy. ✨ Want to know how to level up your website? 🗓Book a free discovery call through the link in my bio. #websitetips #smallbusiness #webdesign #webdesigner #businessowner #customwebsite #webdesigntips #collingwoodontario #torontodesigner #torontowebdesigner #productphotographer #smallbusinesstips #femaleentrepreneur Website tips, Simcoe County, Collingwood, Thornbury, Wasaga Beach

What would a caveman think if they encountered your website? Assuming he got over the idea of a magical box that can be made to project different images with a few clicks of something called a keyboard, would he be attracted to your website? Or would it make him want to smash the box to make the disturbing image go away? It may seem like a hypothetical question, but that’s only partly true. Of course cavemen aren’t time traveling to the 21st century (that I know of,) but you might be surprised at how little our brains have developed since our caveman days. While on a conscious level, we know that a picture of a roaring tiger does not pose a threat, on a subconscious level our brains are freaking out. This is part of what can make designing your website and crafting your content so tricky. Not only do you have to anticipate how the design of your website, your word choice, and formatting is making people feel when they see your website, but they often won’t be able to articulate why they don’t like your website. They just know they don’t want to stick around. #bookreview #marketingpsychology #digitalmarketingstrategy

Compelling Copy- Words that make visitors fall in love with you and your mission. 5. User-Friendly- No hoops to jump through! Jumping through hoops is for circus performers. 6. Crisp Graphics- Pixelated pictures and outdated graphics will look like you haven’t updated your site in a while and leave people wondering if you’re still in business. 8. I had a dream ... that it had been 8 weeks since I left #linkedIn I don't want that dream to be true, and that's why I am here💕💕 Hey, LinkedIn fams 😅😅, it has been a long while. How have you been? My break was unexpected in a way after Damilola Michael 🥳 launched his website, which I designed. I had two concurrent projects that were quite tasking. 1. A children's illustration book and an Editorial design project. I needed to use #AIprompts to create the illustrations and was stretched beyond my creative capacity. 2. A custom website design project came alongside, my client wanted a rather complex design and believe me, I thought I wouldn't be able to pull it off. But I did. I will be sure to share details when the project is finalized. These two projects are helping me understand my design limit and the stretch was so worth it. By the way, I love projects that excite and stretch my limits. That's how I learn. With this, I'm back having tackled two projects to a near-successful end. What did I miss? P.S: The picture below is a vision I run Daachiever International called the Evidence Magazine, we had a print version of the magazine last year, and it was a huge step for me. Looking a tip to keep your website users engaged? Add a touch of professionalism by adding a web header video to your main landing page. These look the part and will make your website stand out like a billboard in your backdoor.
Ditch the dull corporate website look. Give your site some life! 🔥 We have all been there. Loaded a website to find a wall of text and some corporate stock images. The internet is full of sites like this. Corporate. Lifeless. Forgettable. 👎 The result? Disinterested users dropping off. The reality is you have mere seconds to grab a viewers attention. If you don't interest them, they will leave. And that's what we call a bounce in web design lingo. You won't get a second chance to make a good first impression. So make that first impression count. So how do we do that? 💻 Web Header Videos. A well crafted web header video will showcase your business in 20 or so seconds. They should educate a viewer on your product or service before they even read the first line of text. We also export using premium settings, keeping the file size down with as much quality as possible. Whether that's a nice opening drone shot for a construction firm, or a creatively graded shot, this is a perfect way of instantly engaging with a viewer. Invest in your website and keep your viewers interested.
