Story time. In 2011, my wife and I were on our honeymoon in Hawaii. We were completely in the clouds having just had a beautiful and intimate wedding with our close family and friends. We decided to make the most out of the opportunity...neither of us had been to Hawaii before and we wanted to maximize our time there. We signed up for a ziplining tour...the first one available that particular day and as such we ended up being the only people on that tour--just my wife and I along with the 2 tour guides. Now I'm not too proud to admit that I'm not particularly fond of heights, but what the heck...you only live once right? I quickly became comfortable with the guides and their safety precautions, probably influenced quite a bit by my adventurous bride. On the last line heading back into the office area, the guides told me I should go in feet first...while I said I had become comfortable, that's ziplining the traditional way...dangling by my feet hundreds of feet in the air? Not necessarily my idea of a safe/good time, but--with the encouragement of my wife and the guides, I went for it, and the picture below captured the moment. I liken my current #workwithwade journey to that ziplining tour. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I'm betting on myself. My connections. My relationships. My experience. My abilities. So what is at the end of the #workwithwade journey? We'll see...but my gut tells me it's going to be great.
