A rushed eater will inevitably make a mess of things. . . . . My family is notorious for dropping food on our shirts. I genuinely think it's hereditary from my mom's side. The Italian side... (AYYYY 🤌) I tend to rush when eating food. It's like a famished lion who hasn't eaten in a week. Yep, I'll take the over on dropping food on my shirt (+2.3). It also increases the eye rolls from my wife. You know, people can get that way with their finances, too. Rushed financial decisions can end up making a mess of things. Whether that's rushing to sell your stocks after one bad day in the markets. Or impulse buying an RV that will spend more time parked than driving. Maybe you rush into a business deal with the wrong person. Or you borrow money at high interest for the "must-buy" item. There are several reasons why people rush into financial decisions: 👉 Ignorance 👉 Fear 👉 Greed 👉 Anxiety 👉 Unprepared But I'll tell you, a patient person tends to make wise financial decisions. They tend to be prudent, also. They consult the opinions of trusted advisors. They weigh the pros and cons (both for today and tomorrow). That's what I encourage for my clients... Watson and I were on a neighborhood walk when I smelled it… A magnolia tree. I inhaled deeply, just taking in that sweet, lemony-floral aroma. Goodness, it smelled so wonderful! Progress? Some of you saw my first attempt to make my own cold brew. Epic Fail. My 2nd attempt went smoothly, but of course I did not take a picture of that. I got a little confident in my 3rd attempt and didn’t look at the very easy instructions. Oops. Clearly I’m making progress toward this goal, but it’s not always a straight line forward. At Concourse Financial, we love helping our Financial Professionals work toward their goals. Some are smooth sailing, while others require adjustments along the way.
