As a good number of you know, I started Urality with the primary goal to democratize Location based Augmented Reality through allowing anyone to push AR media to a location, then you could follow "channels" of content that would augment your on-the-ground experience. Since then I've pivoted but I've always had one eye on AR because of the potential it brings to the built environment. I read Greg's paper as soon as I saw it last night and I had one of those "YES, people are researching and talking about this!" kind of moments. Not that I thought it was being ignored - it's that the tech hasn't caught up yet to the potential realities (and pitfalls) that lie ahead. Greg, thank you for your contribution, this is one of the first truly distilled versions of this that I've ever read, and all in one resource! I know some specific folks in my network will really care about this one. Tim, I remember talking about this at the cafe in Chestnut Hill years ago when we were working together! Jaime of course you're interested in this from an experience standpoint. Jeff they talk about planning scenarios like the ones we've talked about before in this paper. I think I'm going to do a week-long series next week that talks about some of these topics and give y'all my observations based on my experience with tech and places.
