I'm surprised VC firms don't hire a Platform Growth role. Someone who has experience building and scaling initial traction channels for early startups. Most early growth efforts should be done by the founders themselves, but growth, especially from zero, can be rough. They help founders with things like: ➡️ Advice on what traction channels to focus on ➡️ How to quickly build and test traction channels ➡️ Strategy feedback and affirmation ➡️ Hiring help ➡️ Product marketing (positioning, GTM, etc.) ➡️ Identifying and fixing funnel holes, etc. Someone like this could genuinely change the trajectory of portfolio companies.

After 7 years in LatAm, it’s clear that the region's engineering and product talent is absolutely world-class. Coming from Europe, I've worked with tech teams across multiple markets. But what I'm seeing in LatAm is different: - Raw talent that's mind-blowing - Hunger that's unmatched - Ambition that puts other regions to shame 3 things make LatAm's tech culture unique: → Old labor laws don't work for high-earning tech talent. As a result, they have a more flexible, output-focused culture → We're seeing a massive emergence of middle-class tech workers over the last 20 years. → There's an enthusiasm here that's been lost in many parts of the 'old world'. There are growing pains, though. Some modern best practices haven't fully penetrated: → Engineering Managers often resist hands-on coding → Many "Product Managers" are really Product Owners focused solely on delivery → Discovery and Go-to-Market skills need development But overall, the talent is here. The ambition is here. The creativity is here. And trust me - if you need them to adapt to your operating model, they will. Fast. At Yuno, we're betting big on LatAm talent. I've led product teams across Europe and LatAm and the hunger I see here reminds me of Europe's early tech days - but with more experience and better tools. – P.S.
