We do weekly safety meetings with our workmen on every Wednesday. The meeting which we attend without fail. The very purpose of the meeting is to aware the workmen group & entire gamut from the Hazards that we must look upon. The most challenging attribute of the meeting is to convince the gamut from the Safety Hazards with strong conviction suc that they can continue with the impression when they exit the hall & go to the shop floor. We use different techniques sometimes emotionally, sometimes harsh words, sometimes reward & recognition etc. and nevertheless the most important is the communication. The purpose is one i.e. our message touches them so deeply that he or she never forgets. We share the real safety incidents across the companies and discuss "What Went Wrong" and what could have been done to avoid the same? It is evident that every Incident & accident could have been avoided at site and where we fail? Failed in using the basic Safety measures. So, we need not to discuss big things rather Basic Safety Practices. I love this initiative from my core because "this is the meeting where we discuss saving the life of a person" and in my opinion nothing can be significant than to save a life in your lifetime. Keep reinforcing the Safety at the workplace and keep smiling.
