The program is a modified version of our Leadership Winter Park curriculum and helps develop the talents, strengths, leadership and community engagement of these future leaders. The students participate in everything from team-building project challenges to resume and LinkedIn writing, to a StrengthsFinder assessment, to public speaking to community service projects at area nonprofits to site visits to our arts and cultural institutions, local government entities and many others. The South Africa Youth Summit (SAYS) is a unique 2-day capacity-building,leadership summit holding from 29th to 30th November 2024 for aspiring and high-performing youth leaders in the entire South African region. From its carefully-established theme, "FROM POTENTIAL TO IMPACT," this event seeks to empower young Africans, align them with contemporary African leadership challenges and equip them with the practical skills for leading in their immediate communities or spheres of influence. Our organization believes that the cornerstone to nurturing ambitious and determined youth leadership is education. It is through the opportunities to access quality education, training, and skills development that young people can attain the leadership roles that turn them into agents of transformative change. This is what we seek to achieve in the strategic development summit, which is pertinent for Africa’s rising and Arch Versions archie helping us achieve this objective.

Incredibly grateful for this honor to work with an amazing team of truly good and gifted people at LSU Leadership Development Institute LSU College of Human Sciences & Education LSU SLHRD When I attended my first Leadership Academy through Georgetown, they asked us “when did you first see yourself as a leader?” Most people responded with things like “when I was captain of a team” or “when I lead my first project” or “when I was assigned my first supervisees”. For me, it was when I was 15 and spoke up for my siblings and we went into foster care - that’s when I realized that my voice had the power to change things. So I combined that voice with the voices of others, internationally, to influence some incredible changes. Fast forward twenty years and an entire consulting career later, what I learned is that the initiatives that had the most collaboration, the best working environments and partnerships, and the highest outcomes and sustainability, were the initiatives that invested in leadership development. Every day that I get to help people achieve more capacity as a leader is a day that I don’t feel like I have to work - I feel like I get to serve my purpose. I am genuinely excited to get to work with the team at LDI to bring cutting-edge and evidence-based leadership practices to industries across Louisiana. If your organization or team is struggling with retention, engagement, or just wants to grow and innovate, please reach out to us - we are ready to serve! #leadership #leadershipdevelopment #coaching #retention #wellbeing #workplacementalhealth #fostercare #mentalhealth #livedexperienceleaders #louisiana

On May 19, I highlighted the critical role of secondary leadership training in education. Empowering our educators with the skills and strategies to lead effectively not only enhances their professional growth but also significantly improves student outcomes. Strong leadership at every level is essential for fostering an environment of excellence and innovation in our schools. Leadership is a learning process. It involves continuous growth, adaptation, and reflection. Great leaders learn from their experiences, seek feedback, and remain open to new ideas. They also recognize that leadership styles can evolve based on team dynamics and changing circumstances. Emphasizing collaboration, empathy, and self-awareness. This was one of the great opportunity for me to participate at the opening of the leadership Training Program at MwL Nyerere leadership School.
