Fontaine Commercial Trailer recently welcomed seniors from Marion County High School for a tour of our facilities. During the visit, students had the opportunity to learn about the diverse range of trailers manufactured by Fontaine, including their applications and the technologies involved in production. The tour also highlighted various career paths within the Company, offering students a glimpse into potential futures in manufacturing, engineering, and logistics. Additionally, students were introduced to the qualities that Fontaine values in its employees, such as dedication, teamwork, and a commitment to quality. This initiative underscores Fontaine's commitment to fostering strong community ties and investing in the next generation of talent by providing valuable educational experiences. Thank you MCHS seniors for spending the day with us at Fontaine Commercial Trailer.

Vehicle assistance is critical to apprentice transportation and success!
Congratulations to 2023 CCDI & Belleville East High School Alumna, Kamryn Willis, on her new set of wheels! Kamryn is an apprentice floorlayer for Flooring Systems Inc. who recently lost her vehicle in an unexpected car fire and was without reliable transportation to get her to and from work. With the help of our friends in the community, CCDI assisted Kamryn in purchasing a perfect car that will help get her back on track and on her way to a successful future in the skilled trades! Thank you to everyone who came together to make this awesome story possible! Make us proud, Kam! #BuildingTheFoundationForChange

Pathway one: Career and technical education While a four-year degree is important for many students — especially if their ideal job is among the 64% that do require a college degree—college may not be the best pathway or even a needed pathway for others. Career and technical education (CTE) programs are one non-college pathway to prepare students for the workforce. These programs also engage students in what they’re learning. CTE programs in high school: Show students tangible proof of their skills and what they’re learning and why Give students access to entry- and mid-level certifications that let them enter the workforce right after high school or use to skip college courses. Are more likely to graduate high school.
Marisa Littlefield and Hans Meeder recently attended the 2024 Arkansas CTE Summer Conference. They had the pleasure of chatting with Molly Lindsey, Executive Director of Arkansas ACTE. Great conversations and connections that will help us continue to support and advance CTE in Arkansas. Looking forward to future collaborations! 💫 ✏ #ArkansasCTE #CTESummerConference #CareerAndTechnicalEducation #Networking

Big congratulations to Wilson Lumber's own Nathan Massey! He is celebrating five years with our company. When I got the alert that his five year anniversary was coming up, I was like "this can't be right." Because his cultural influence is so impactful at Wilson, I figured it had to be a mistake and he had actually been here much longer (not that 5 years is insignificant by any means). Nathan is the perfect example of prioritizing and holding on to the cultural fits in your company. When you get yourself a Nathan Massey, don't let him go. It's been five years, but feels like twenty. Congrats Nathan! Wilson Lumber Company is lucky to have you on our team.

Today was a very productive day of learning financial literacy at Junior Achievement of Wisconsin Northwest Area Finance Park in Appleton, Wisconsin. Afterwards, we headed to the Green Bay Packers stadium for a phenomenal motivational speech from Rob Davis (Former Packer)/ Director of Organizational Development & Diversity/Equity & Inclusion. His story really touched the mentees and mentors. We also went on two tours (Heritage Trail Tour & Championship Tour) to learn more about the Packers overall history. Onboarding is more than just an airport pick-up and a team photo—it's the foundation for success. Welcoming new team members effectively at DGPS is crucial in setting the tone for their journey within the organisation. A strong onboarding process helps our new staff feel valued, connected, and confident from day one. When new staff understand their role and how they contribute to #learningtogethergrowingtogether and the bigger DGPS picture, they’re already engaged and motivated and feel supported and appreciated. Clear expectations and early guidance enable new staff to hit the ground running, leading to quicker and more impactful teaching and learning. It is the perfect opportunity to immerse new teachers and staff in the school's culture, ensuring they feel a sense of belonging. Onboarding isn’t just a one-time event—it’s an ongoing process that fosters growth, learning, and connection. Investing in this process benefits the new staff and the entire organisation, building a team that learns and grows together. We've also learned from our HR data that a positive onboarding experience significantly reduces turnover #DGPS #Onboarding #EmployeeExperience #TeamSuccess Charlotte McCombs Elizabeth McMath
