Five Years of Growth, Challenges, and Gratitude. Today marks the five-year anniversary of our firm, and I’ve been reflecting on what this journey has taught me. It’s been incredibly rewarding, but also one of the most challenging experiences of my life. Building something from the ground up isn’t for the faint of heart. Every milestone comes with lessons, and today I want to share three of the biggest ones I’ve learned over the past five years: 1. We are nothing without our people and our culture. Everything flows from our team and the core values we all embody. I’m constantly reminded of how fortunate we are to have such a talented, patient, and committed group of people who have stood by us as we navigate growth and learn from our many mistakes. We would be nowhere without our team. 2. Delivering the ultimate client experience is mission critical. Our clients trust us during some of the worst times of their lives, and we owe them nothing short of our best. Every day, we strive to demonstrate to our clients, and our community, that we are constantly working to deliver an exceptional experience. For us, this means going beyond guiding clients through the legal process—it’s about being a source of comfort and support during some of life’s most challenging moments, even when the issues extend beyond the law. 3. Building a business and a brand takes a lot time and energy, and it never ends. Growth isn’t a destination; it’s a journey that requires continuous trust, effort, and reinvention. Earning the trust of the people we serve is not a one-time event, it’s something we work at every single day. To Keith Vona: thank you for being an amazing partner and always having my back. To our team: thank you for believing in our vision, and bringing your best every day. To our clients and our community: thank you for trusting us and allowing us to grow alongside you. Five years down. Many more to go. We are just getting started.
🎉 Happy anniversary to our incredible Co-Founders, John E. Richmond & Keith Vona! Without your innovative vision, constant dedication, and compassionate leadership, there would be no RV team. Thank you for everything you do and the outstanding level of service you provide for our team, our clients, and our community each and every day. Cheers to 5 years and many, many more! 🍾 🥂 🎉

I recently made a mistake when celebrating a great month in our company. We blew away our goal and I wanted to recognize our team. Instead of just congratulating our team for their great accomplishment, I threw in the dreaded "but" at the end of it. "but, next month will most likely be much different." There was no need for me to do this. I intended to shield them from a possible letdown the following month since we always have a strong January. The "but" was not necessary at that time (and probably not at all). Celebrate your wins. Recognize the success of your team - the other stuff can wait. A well-informed team already knows of the challenges that may lie ahead and is prepared to handle them. Let celebrating your wins stand on its own. Do not dilute what your team accomplished. Interestingly, February came and they beat our target for that month as well.....and did it again in March.

Celebrate Every Milestone! In our fast-paced world, it’s all too easy to focus on what we haven’t accomplished rather than acknowledging the strides we’ve already made. We tend to be our own harshest critics, often overlooking the progress we’ve achieved, no matter how small it may seem. Every milestone—big or small—deserves recognition. Whether you’ve completed a project, learned a new skill, or simply made it through a tough week, take a moment to celebrate these accomplishments. It's this recognition that fuels motivation and positivity, helping us maintain momentum on our journeys. So, let’s shift our perspective! Instead of fixating on what’s left to do, let’s appreciate how far we've come. Share your wins, no matter how minor they may feel. Encourage your colleagues to do the same and create a culture of celebration around growth and progress. Together, let’s uplift one another and celebrate each step in our journeys! What milestones are you celebrating this month?

Starting my own business has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences in my life so far... Here are my take aways from my first year of operating! It has taught me resilience, and the mindset to move directionally correctly rather than wait for everything to be absolutely perfect. Results compound when you focus on getting 1% better everyday. Some people asked me "why did you want to start your own business?" and to be honest the question really made me think... I think in business (and in life for that matter), you have a choice. Go for it and see what you're really made of. Or don't try and live wondering "what if?" For those who know me I'm not a "what if" kind of person... One of the best quotes that I think about almost everyday is actually one from my dad (My father is a tradie who owned his own painting and decorating business for over 20+ years ). My dad said to me 4 words that have changed my thinking. So simple yet still hold to this day. Those 4 words? "Have a crack son" Very aussie of him I know! But if you simply show up and have a crack at whatever you're doing you'll be better than everyone else who isn't "having a crack". Time and effort compound. Mindset, courage and consistency are the key to becoming a more competent and successful person. It just happens to also pay massive dividends to your business too! My one piece of advice to anyone thinking of going out on your own... Put people and providing value as your first focus, the rest tends to follow quite quickly! Provide value and expect nothing in return and focus on building genuine relations rather than "clientele". People buy from people they like. AI or tech won't ever change that! I can't wait to repost this years down the track and see how far everything has come. Until next time!
Happy 1st Birthday to us!!! Excited to add even more value over the coming years to both our great clients and candidates! Vision. People. Growth!!! 🎂 🎊

As the year comes to a close, take a moment to do something we often forget 👇🏽 Praise yourself. You’ve made it through another year, navigating challenges, meeting deadlines, and showing up for yourself and others. That deserves recognition. In the rush of work, family, and year-end commitments, it’s easy to focus on what didn’t get done. But what about what did? Take a moment today to acknowledge: ✅ The goals you hit (big or small). ✅ The times you showed resilience when things felt overwhelming. ✅ The ways you grew, even if it didn’t feel like progress in the moment. Praising yourself isn’t about ego, it’s about building the self-belief that fuels even greater achievements. What’s one thing you’re proud of this year? Drop it in the comments, I’d love to celebrate with you.

For those that need it, here's a picture of the sunrise this morning 🙂 . So, Wednesday 2nd October was a milestone for me. It was my 40th birthday 🎉 I can’t say that I was thrilled at the thought of this milestone coming my way, but it made me reflect nonetheless and I thought I’d share: 1) 💡 Don’t underestimate the power of now: The present moment is what matters. Apart from having a great time with friends and family, I appreciated the company and the various faces that have been in some way part of my life. 2) 💡 Surround yourself with good people who are in your corner: Appreciate those that will celebrate with you when you do well and look out for you when you aren’t; those are the people who want to see you win. You’ll soon filter through the ones who are trapped in their own ego’s and don’t want to see you do well. 3) 💡 Be in the corner of others: No one is "self-made", people and community matter as much in life as they do in business. So find someone who needs you to be in your corner for them and celebrate them and their successes like its your own (purely because you care and not because you might need them to return a favour or two).

It’s That Time of the Year… As the year winds down, many are busy evaluating their achievements, creating vision boards, and setting new milestones. And then there’s you, sitting there, thinking the year passed with nothing to show for it. Wait! Stop right there. Too often, we downplay our achievements or dwell on what didn’t go as planned. But here’s the truth: every step forward no matter how small is a victory worth celebrating. Did you try something new? Did you keep going despite the challenges? Did you grow in ways you never expected? Guess what? Those are all wins. And as for the moments you think you’ve failed? You didn’t. What you gained was experience, resilience, and a clearer path forward. Learn to celebrate your wins and not bury your head in shame when you think you’ve failed because you actually never did fail. What’s one win you’d like to celebrate today? Let’s hear it! 🌟
