I am pleased to share that our latest paper, titled “Safety and Efficacy of Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT) as a Modern Adjuvant Therapy in Various Diseases and Disorders: A Comprehensive Literature Review,” has been published in Frontiers in Immunology. 🔗 This review explores the potential of FMT as an adjuvant therapy for various conditions, from gastrointestinal to neurological disorders. In our continuing efforts to explore functional evolution of transplant graft using molecular/cellular testing, we are now revealing the initial clinical study in 44 kidney transplants. The the performance of microvascular activation, using eGFR as outcome, has sensitivity ranging 52~78% together with specificity 92~95%, which documented at different times. This is the first clinical study to make a diagnosis of graft dysfunction and loss based on direct donor-recipient interactions in vitro. Jeremy Tilstra, MD, PhD, and Rachael Gordon, MD, PhD, from the UPMC Division of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology, as well as collaborators from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Departments of Immunology and Pathology, published a paper titled “B cell-intrinsic Myd88 Regulates Disease Progression in Murine Lupus” that demonstrates that targeting Myd88 or its upstream activators may be a viable therapeutic option for systemic lupus erythematosus.
