Coping with the problem. An image here from a recent drone roof inspection. The lead soakers which weatherproof the slates at the abutment are clearly visible. But they need a cover flashing to stop water travelling down behind them into the building. The cover flashing which was covering them is now in the gutter below - and judging by the grass in the remaining flashing, it has been down there for a while. The wall appears to be solid brickwork. The coping stones have open joints. And the cover flashings don't appear to have much turn-in to the chase under the copings. Ideally there will be a d.p.c. under the copings - I'm guessing there isn't one. Expected result - damp in the wall below the roof, and water ingress down the face of the wall internally. You may have these symptoms within your building. A properly focused drone inspection can often spot the causes for you. A bonus point to anyone who spots the missing slate. #roofinspection #droneinspection #buildingsurveying #facilitiesmanagement

Safeguarding Heritage with Drone Inspections Historic buildings, monuments, and landmarks require regular inspection to preserve their integrity—but traditional methods of inspection can be hazardous to both workers and the structures themselves. With drone technology, heritage sites can now undergo thorough inspections without the need for scaffolding or ladders, reducing risk while ensuring the longevity of cultural treasures. Advantages: Non-invasive inspections that protect the structure Minimized worker risk during height inspections Detailed aerial imagery for accurate assessments #HeritagePreservation #DroneInnovation #CulturalHeritage #Safety #Sustainability

Industrial stacks undergo numerous inspections to ensure operational safety. Regular visual inspections are conducted several times a year. If a visual inspection detects potential issues like corrosion or cracking, a more detailed analysis is initiated. This is when ultrasonic testing (UT) is utilized. Read the full case study of a drone stack inspection with the Elios 3 UT from Flyability here: https://lnkd.in/eiAjQjRG #Flyability #UltrasonicTesting #Elios3UT #Corrosion #CaseStudy

🔍 Spotting the Unseen with Dronestitute! 🔍 At Dronestitute, we're redefining what's possible in roofing inspections! 🚁✨ George Femmer from Dronestitute and Adam Lewis, a commercial roofing specialist from Pelican Roofing, recently teamed up to conduct a groundbreaking thermal inspection of a roof. Without our drone technology, these issues would have remained hidden. "We found a couple of thermal anomalies that we were able to confirm and validate by taking core samples of the roof," George explained. "This allowed us to see the extent of water intrusion, including how far it had penetrated and how many layers were affected." Adam highlighted the traditional challenges: "Before, we would have guessed areas based on surface signs, but the thermal scan pointed us directly to the compromised spots, saving time and providing precise solutions." This is a game-changer in the industry! 🌟 #Dronestitute #PelicanRoofing #ThermalImaging #DroneTechnology #RoofingSolutions #Innovation #GameChanger

We are working to build safer firefighting/Suppression apparatus for firefighters, built around NFPA standards. Our tethered hydrodynamic powered drone (no Propellers), is designed to fight fires both internal and external to buildings and structures. Our drone is designed to connect to standard fire apparatus (Hydrant, or Pumper or building standpipe connection) for continuous high volume water / foam for suppression. Note: Drone is currently in development. We are working on the prototype. Drone size is a 1 foot cube. Weight would be approximately 55Lbs. Minimum 1000 Lpm (500 Gpm)continuous suppression. Have questions? We have answers!
