Working for the solar industry, there are definitely seasonal trends. It hard to do an important roof survey if there is snow getting in the way of structure and defects. It was this time last year that I started surveying, and I was so busy I felt like I could not keep up. Now that it is spring leading to summer I have really not seen any uptick in business or installations. Some research showed that there are parts of the power grid that cannot handle excessive amounts of energy added to the grid as it would cause imbalances and potential fluctuations in power. I find it odd that some homeowners report they are not permitted to put as many panels on their roof than is actually structurally and technically possible. This says to me that energy companies are not prepared for the levels of growth we are seeing. Since I am new to the business I am going to keep a close eye on this.
