Internships - so valuable for what they bring to both the individual and the organization.
As we see more interns "graduating" from our internship program we have very mixed feelings as an organization. While it has been refreshing to hear their different views and learn from the projects they have been involved in, we are sad to see them go and look forward to them reconnecting with us when they graduate. Always good to be learning, questioning and recalibrating views. Thank you Tomo Ishikawa and Truman Leung and all the best with your continued studies.

Akshatha’s journey from the city of lush flower fields and forts, Chitradurga to the livewire classroom of IFMR GSB has been one of curiosity, determination and ingenuity. These very qualities combined with sheer hard work led her to her summer internship stint at BNY Mellon. Akshatha states that what fascinates her most about an MBA is that it permeates all forms of lives and livelihood, including her roots in agriculture, and the opportunity to pack one’s undergraduate interests with an acumen in management. Akshatha is one among the few at IFMR GSB who are excelling in their MBA, evolving into extraordinary managers, and yet come with distinct backgrounds in the undergrad. So, what transpired this summer? Nine students from the MBA Cohort of 2024 take us through their internship experiences through the Summer of '24. 💼🎓 What an exhilarating first 3 months of my MBA journey! The past few months have been nothing short of intense yet rewarding. From diving deep into academic coursework to juggling exams, SIP (Summer Internship Program) prep, and even participating in case competitions, it’s been a full-throttle experience. 🚀 Here’s what the ride has looked like so far: 📚 Academics: The coursework has been both challenging and enriching, expanding my understanding of core business concepts while fostering critical thinking in real-world applications. 📝 SIP Prep: With summer internships around the corner, the rigorous preparation has been key in shaping my approach to career development and aligning with my future goals. 🏆 Case Competitions: Competing with some of the brightest minds has pushed me beyond my comfort zone, sharpening my problem-solving skills and exposing me to innovative strategies.
