XDS is an Electronic Differential Lock, a system designed to improve the handling and traction of front-wheel-drive cars, particularly when cornering at speed 🛞. 🚗 As an extension of the Electronic Stability Program (ESP), XDS detects when the inside wheel of the driven front axle starts to lose grip during fast cornering. To counteract this, it subtly applies brake pressure to that wheel, transferring more power to the outer wheel. This action helps prevent understeer, a common issue with front-wheel-drive cars, and enhances the vehicle's responsiveness and stability. 🚗 The result is an enhanced driving experience, making the car feel more planted and agile through corners.
