Is Singapore’s stock market vibrant and liquid enough to enable capital raising for companies and exit opportunities for venture capital/private equity firms? With SGD strengthening against USD and other major currencies, Singapore investors are looking at the local stock market to invest whilst also minimising currency risk. To do this, I agree with SGX Chairman, Koh Boon Hwee’s sentiment that more effort is needed to strengthen the local cash equities business and drive demand from investors, including institutional investors, to improve liquidity. #SGX #liquidity #investment #wealthmanagement
