David Bohm once said, “In some sense, man is a microcosm of the universe; therefore, what man is, is a clue to the universe.” This quote reflects Bohm’s view that our nature is inseparable from the fabric of the cosmos. His work invites us to explore the profound connections between ourselves and the universe—a perspective that blends physics with philosophy. How do you interpret the idea of humanity as a microcosm of the cosmos? Let’s discuss. 🌌 #DavidBohm #Physics #Quotes
What ‘kind’ of clue tho? I guess to how the capability of entropy is probably limitless

1wTo say man is a clue to the cosmos is akin to saying birds had to get smaller because there wasn't enough food for their ancestors. Not to short sight this, the tumult of history is very perceptible both in the animal Kingdom and amongst the masses of Civilization as a while. There's no easy answer to how much of nature is influenced by grander works, we'll say, or by the intuition of those who are 'advancing '. A whole other question right there. If we take to Bohm's view, man breathes though so do vascular-like tissues in some plants. What gives man his breath though? What gives the foliage the light they need to grow, or the oceans its salt? The philosophy could go somewhere if the idea is to achieve an understanding of existence beyond science, with the opposing notion being that we should seek to achieve complete scientific explanation for things. Not too fond of that second one.
