Local Payments: The Unstoppable Force in Europe Do you reckon local payment methods (LPMs) are exclusive only to emerging markets? Blik is Poland's most frequently used mobile payment method, with around 10 million active users, including ecommerce consumers. Bizum became one or even the preferred payment method for ecommerce in Spain with more than 23 million users. In Sweden, Swish is the leading local payment method with around 8 million users. That's 72% of Sweden's population. Even in the highly banked landscape of Europe, consumers are flocking to LPMs. Why? Because they offer a superior package: lower costs, faster, safer, and streamlined. Blik, Bizum, or Swish, together with other European payment methods are changing the payment industry in the region. Those who don't offer them, risk falling behind. #ecommerce #payments #fintech
