Something that's coming with tremendous force are humanoid robots. As you read this, it might seem like an exotic idea, similar to how people viewed the first smartphones in 2005 and scoffed at those attempts. The first iterations of anything destined to conquer the market are always rough, crude, rudimentary. The initial strong players in this field will be Tesla and Figure. Both start with offerings for industrial solutions, but that will merely be to gain volume. The idea is that every household will have one or two of these, just as today we have one or two vehicles at our disposal—the estimates put the price of one of these humanoid robots in the same league as a family car, approximately. Please, don't say "Rosie" or such simplicities. Rather, be among those who analyze more deeply and with greater sophistication the effects that the implementation of this technology will have, look at its implications. The perfect market I see is everything related to geriatrics, a sector on the rise that increasingly has more economic power and more and more need for assistance. Tech Giants Collaborate to Invest: Microsoft, Bezos, and NVIDIA Back Figure AI for the Future of Humanoid Robots Tech heavyweights, including Microsoft, Jeff Bezos, and NVIDIA, are joining forces to invest in Figure AI, a company dedicated to developing humanoid robots. This move reflects the intense competition in the industry as it explores new applications for artificial intelligence. Figure AI Inc., a startup backed by both OpenAI and Microsoft, is currently in the midst of a new funding round, aiming to raise approximately $675 million. With this, the company's pre-money valuation is estimated at around $2 billion. Jeff Bezos, through his investment firm Explore Investments LLC, commits to investing $100 million. Microsoft is contributing $95 million, while NVIDIA and an Amazon-affiliated fund are each providing $50 million. As a pivotal frontier in the AI industry, robots enable cutting-edge technology to be applied to various real-world tasks. I think that the 'Figure 01' is an interesting humanoid robot because it is actuated by electric motors compared to the 'Atlas' humanoid robot from Boston Dynamics. Due to this simple but important merit, the 'Figure 01' may be used as the AI home service robot because it has no issue about the oil leakage at home.
