EXCLUSIVE: The global micromobility market is expected to reach $520 billion by 2035, McKinsey & Company has exclusively told Zag Daily. McKinsey’s findings are revealed one day before Associate Partner Anja Huber and Expert Darius Scurtu host the panel ‘McKinsey’s Latest Micromobility Market Sizing and Consumer Insights’ at the Micromobility Europe expo in Amsterdam. “The main underlying drivers for our predictions on the global micromobility market are regulation and consumer behaviour,” Darius told Zag. “We expect that cities and countries will continue to support micromobility to reach their climate targets as one of many “sustainable” modes, and thus further invest in micromobility infrastructure, provide purchase subsidies, or partner with private micromobility operators.” See the key insights here: https://lnkd.in/e-3fteeJ

💚 GREENTECH FESTIVAL 2024 in Berlin💚 📢Inspiring panels and key note speeches about the transition to a sustainable energy industry, the role of artificial intelligence in this and the contributions that companies and politicians can / must make 👥Many conversations at our IONITY booth with our customers, soon-to-be EV drivers and industry peers! I have received a lot of positive feedback from our customers - about the reliability of our charging stations, but also - especially from women - about the location of the charging stations, which in most cases are close to buildings and well lit. 🚗There is a lot of interest and also a need for information among soon-to-be EV drivers - what does fast charging mean and what is the difference between fast and ultra-fast? How far will one charge take me? We were able to answer many questions, and you can always find more information on our homepage (https://lnkd.in/eqgt3n7q) in the Stories section. 💯The highlight for me was the panel "Fast charging with green electricity - for more sustainable mobility in Europe". My colleague Christoph Strecker discussed the use of BEVs and sustainable charging on long journeys with Marie-Kristin Wricke (mme_ electric) and Don Dahlmann. 🌱Conclusion: The development towards more sustainability in the mobility sector remains important. Meo Carbon Solutions is proud to announce that we are officially kicking off the CLEVER project, which aims to transform the way greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are calculated in the transportation sector. We are partnering with an international consortium of experts and stakeholders to address the challenge of establishing credible and standardized emission factors for all transport modes, fuels and production methods. The CLEVER project will create a comprehensive methodology covering the entire energy lifecycle—from production to end use. The project's framework will ensure consistency in calculating emissions for new energy sources, adaptability to industry changes and accurate and quantifiable emissions data for both policy and business purposes. Meo's role is to support the project with our expert knowledge and long-term experience in GHG emission calculations and developing and managing sustainability certification schemes for different markets. Set a baseline and set targets for the largest fleets in our organisation, representing at least 50% of our global fleet, by Q3 in the year after signing this commitment    Leading indicators/ objectives  2. In 2008, 25% of vehicles of our organisation are euro3 or higher; 3. In 2026, our organistion participates in ride and vehicle sharing initiatives in at least 20% of the operating countries   Since the signing of the commitments, Fleet Forum members have been implementing a wide range of sustainable fleet initiatives, including sharing data among organisations to establish a member community baseline. | At the recent Fleet Forum Summit, the 'State of the Sector' progress report we presented, highlighting the areas of success and improvement needed to meet our three key commitments.    Join us in this webinar on November 13 at 12pm CET, during which we will present the overall progress report.  Visit: https://lnkd.in/eNBMEGvr
