The 2024 Atlantic hurricane season in the Northern Hemisphere officially begins on June 1, 2024, and ends on November 30, 2024. It covers the Atlantic Ocean, the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea. Experts predict an active hurricane season with up to 23 named storms, including 11 hurricanes and five Category 3 or higher “major” hurricanes. It's never too early to prepare for a hurricane. Businesses and individuals can be proactive in protecting against property damage and loss of life in the event of a hurricane.
