On February 18, 2023, Temple University Police Sergeant Christopher Fitzgerald, just 31 years old, was tragically shot and killed in the line of duty in North Philadelphia. It’s a day his wife, Marissa, and their four children will never forget. While nothing can erase their pain, FBBCF has been honored to support their family financially. Last year, the Fitzgerald family was a beneficiary of the Andy Chan Block Party, with Marissa sharing how deeply blessed they felt by the community's support. This year, the funds raised will not only support Andy Chan but also eight other families of fallen or severely injured first responders.
