TNO colleagues Claire Stolwijk, Anastasia Yagafarova & David Otto developed a white paper on the impact of the digitalization of the manufacturing sector in the Netherlands with a special focus on SMEs. They found that; The manufacturing sector active on digitalization is the fastest growing sub-sector within the manufacturing sector and the whole economy of the Netherlands since 2016. Besides that the industrial #digitalization in the Netherlands is above the EU average. But countries such as Sweden and Ireland are leading in the EU when it comes to digitalization of manufacturing. #ATRC plans to launch 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺 𝗲𝗿𝗮, and 𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 byyear end! Advanced Technology Research Council’s (#ATRC) plans to form three new high profile tech ventures by the end of 2024. The plans were reviewed this week by 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗸𝗵 𝗞𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗶𝗻 𝗭𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗹 𝗡𝗮𝗵𝘆𝗮𝗻, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, as he chaired a meeting of the ATRC's board of directors. The ATRC's commercialisation arm, VentureOne, plans launch three ne technology ventures: 👉 A venture to 'transform #datasecurity in the #quantum era' 👉 A smart #autonomousmobility venture 👉 An #Agritech with #robotics technologies venture The ventures were planned and developed in line with Abu Dhabi's economic priorities and represent another big step in translating pioneering research into products and services in the UAE.
