FairNow’s Post

This week, our CEO Guru Sethupathy joined the #dgiq / #aigov keynote panel on AI Governance. Thank you to DATAVERSITY for featuring such an important topic! And thank you Johna Till Johnson, William A. Tanenbaum, Roslyn Docktor, John Hearty, and Alexandre t'Kint for the tremendous conversations. Key themes for those not able to attend: ➡️ AI Governance has 3 dimensions: - What (goal of governance, including reg compliance) - How (policies, procedures, controls) - Whom (roles and responsibilities) ➡️ Governance done well reduces risk while helping to build trust and increase adoption. ➡️ Regulations should be at the product level or domain/industry/function level, closer to the actual use case. Regulatory experimentation and flexibility will be important as AI changes in ways we can't predict. ➡️ For those building AI Governance Councils -- keep things small. Ideally 3-5 members from the Business, AI/Tech, Data, Risk, compliance/legal with a single, clear accountable lead. This helps organizations maintain agility. #datagovernance #aigovernance
