Fair Wear Foundation’s Post

A successful end to our project with GIZ From 2022 to 2024, Fair Wear, in partnership with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, implemented the project "Strengthening Local Capacity in the RMG Sector of Bangladesh to Ensure Workplaces Are Safe from Gender-Based Violence and Harassment." During this project, we achieved: ✔️ Setting up six local organisations with the capacity to deliver workplace education programmes independently.  ✔️ Strengthening or establishing Anti-Harassment Committees (AHCs) to address workplace grievances in 60 factories.  ✔️ Training over 250 AHC members, ensuring alignment with national and international standards.  ✔️ Supporting progress towards the ratification of ILO Convention 190 and the enactment of workplace harassment legislation through advocacy efforts.   The project has built a foundation for sustainable progress in the sector by equipping local organisations, strengthening grievance mechanisms, and driving policy advocacy.
