I am the quintessential early adopter of all things that give me superpowers. Cause I'm no hero. I'm Hughie Campbell from The Boys, and you betcha I'd be hard pressed to resist tapping that Compound V. But it would have to come in a gummy or chewable for me. Not a needles fanboy. So it's no surprise I have recently gone all-in on skilling up my knowledge on the modern eye tracking technology. With the amount of hours I spend in front of a computer screen and buried in books, and as someone who measures almost everything and anything he can, ingesting these retina scan 4ms sample rate #data sets rock my #dataAnalyst world! Currently mining through my commercial sleep data over the past 2 years, including the clinical datasets that I get from my CPAP machine is mind blowing. I'm throwing some AI at it to try and find correlations to anxillary datasets ranging from my move and steps data and apps and screen time usage. My daughter Jacqueline Cardoso's awesome gig at AdHawk Microsystems opened my eyes to the awesome work being done here. This micro-electromechanical (MEMS) tech was science fiction when I graduated EE and CompSci  from University of Toronto and now, camera-less eye tracking that uses 1000x less power with 10x the samplying rates and < 4ms are a reality. The MindLink squad is local to where I live, in Waterloo, Ontario and they are the divisonal mindtrust working hard every day to scale this tech for the cosumer market. Hear that crimes-against-data vigilantee Merrill Albert?   • Peter Parker (Spider-Man) - could enhance his web-shooting accuracy and gather intel on his surroundings. • Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow) - As a super spy,  she would level up her espionage and tactical planning powers. • James Bond - come on, Q would hook him up for reconnaissance, target tracking, and gadget control. • Inspector Gadget - I'm MrTechie, he is MrGadget - of course he'd have (a few) of these • Rick Deckard (Blade Runner) - Rick Deckard could of used these for REALZIES. Good fun to play with Augmented Reality in Total Knee Replacement today. Rather than use a $1M robot+ with a $large annual service agreement and $severalhundred in consumables per case, Augmented Reality (AR) is an alternative technology platform for total joint replacement. It just uses a couple of disposable trackers and some reusable AR glasses. I found the AR feedback about dynamic ligament tension to be particularly interesting. Note: I have NO data on the accuracy of this technology and it's not my standard workflow.
