Do you think it's the fibre? Lots of confounding factors- the low fibre diet is likely to be more highly processed foods and possibly too many carbs.

Sun Fiber is my favorite fiber supplement now. I added it to 6 ounces of Minute Maid zero lemonade, and it is delightful. No grit!
