Ever been invited to an event and thought, “They’ll regret this”? That was me at the recent Bisnow Multifamily event. We covered the big stuff—industry trends, future outlooks, and how we’re all grappling with two realities: construction costs keep climbing, and making new deals pencil is still tough. Then there was my panel. The topic? Innovation. My take? Let’s just say I gave the buzzword a reality check. I may have poo-poo’ed some of the hype a little too enthusiastically. Hopefully, the audience appreciated the honesty—or at least found it entertaining. All jokes aside, events like this are a great way to spark productive conversations, exchange ideas, and tackle the real challenges our industry faces. I’m grateful for the invite and hoping my sarcasm hasn’t put me on the “do not call” list for next time. If you’re in Multifamily or just curious about where things are headed, let’s connect. And if you were there, tell me—was I too much, or just enough?
Thank you for the invite! I enjoyed it. Will always think of you as “too much” but it might just be my subjective opinion and not a bad thing at all 😅
Bold move, but someone had to do it! Great to see someone shaking things up and keeping it real in these types of discussions.
Great job on the panel yesterday!
Really interesting panel and discussion - great insights into the current market.

4wSounds like you brought some much-needed real talk to the panel—honesty over hype is always refreshing, especially when "innovation" can feel like a buzzword overload. Constructive sarcasm usually sparks the best conversations, so I’m betting you hit the sweet spot. What was the audience’s best reaction during your panel?
