Deed transferring your house into a trust offers you advantages for a relatively low cost. 1. You avoid probate. This is simply the public process of how assets are transferred that is facilitated by a court. A trust keeps this private and removes the need of the court. 2. Control and flexibility. You maintain control of the asset while you are alive, and decide how it is distributed. 3. Avoid Family Disputes. This is related to #2 above, but, when you clearly dictate how an asset moves it "can" eliminate a public fight with courts. This doesn't guarantee anything but can certainly assist. If you own a home, this is a great avenue to look into. #estateplanning #Deedtransfer #SunpointeInvestments

Did you know in Maryland, you can name a beneficiary on your car’s title? This option lets your vehicle bypass probate, allowing the named person to transfer ownership directly at the MVA. It’s quick, easy, and avoids delays—especially helpful for your loved ones. Like a “transfer on death” for bank accounts, adding a beneficiary can simplify your estate planning. Just remember, an estate attorney can guide you to make the best choices for your full estate plan.
