Holiday Pro-tip. Check those trees to make sure the lights work especially before your holiday decorator arrives. This is why, the lights don't work on a newly purchased tree. I had high hopes. This would have been good for an Auburn fan, Cookie Monster, Marvel or another sports team. Www.gracejamesdecor.com Apply the tips

Halloween 2024 Here are three tips to consider: Pumpkin Carving - More than 55% of Halloween injuries are caused by pumpkin carving. While it may be tempting to use standard kitchen knives, carving tool kits may be a safer option. And, of course, ensure an adult supervises any carving activities. Trick-or-Treating Safety - Falls from decorating or wearing an ill-fitted costume account for 25% of injuries on this holiday. Ensure costumes fit properly to prevent tripping, and use reflective tape or glow sticks to increase visibility. It is often safer for children to wear face makeup instead of face masks, which may obstruct their vision. Drink Responsibly - If attending a Halloween party where you consume alcohol, catch a ride with a friend, call an Uber, or consider an overnight stay. Remember, a DUI or a fatality is significantly more costly, emotionally and financially, than a ride home.

No one wants to trip while chasing treats! 🕯👣 Clear the Path: Keep porches and yards free of tripping hazards like loose cords, decorations, and other obstacles. This keeps everyone safe and focused on the candy! 🍬🙌 Flame-Free Fun: Use battery-operated candles or LED lights in your jack-o’-lanterns instead of real flames to avoid any fire hazards. Safety first, but still spooky! 🔋🎃 Be Visible: Add reflective tape to costumes or use glow-in-the-dark accessories so your little monsters can be seen by drivers. Did You Know?: Decorations are the first thing to ignite in 900 reported home fires each year. And 2 out of 5 of those fires were started by a candle. Here are a few tips on Halloween fire safety: ⚫️ Use battery-operated candles or glowsticks in jack-o-lanterns. If you use a real candle, use extreme caution. ⚫️ If you are lighting candles inside jack-o-lanterns, use long, fireplace-style matches or a utility lighter. ⚫️ Be sure to place lit pumpkins well away from anything that can burn and far enough out of the way of trick-or-treaters, doorsteps, walkways and yards. ⚫️ Keep all Halloween decorations away from open flames, light bulbs and heaters. ⚫️ Avoid baggy or oversized costumes to prevent contact with exposed candles or flames.

🎆 Happy Bonfire Night! 🎆 We all love a good fireworks display, but remember—Bonfire Night can be tough for our pets 🐾! Here are some top tips to keep them safe and calm: 1. Create a Safe Space: Set up a cosy, quiet room with familiar blankets and toys. Let your pet hide away if they need to. 2. Muffle the Noise: Close windows and curtains to reduce the noise. You can even play gentle music or TV to help mask the sound. 3. Stay Calm: Pets pick up on our vibes, so try to keep a relaxed, soothing presence. 4. Skip the Garden Fireworks: Organized displays are far more impressive and safer for everyone! Let’s support local events and enjoy a spectacular, hassle-free show. 🌠 5. Keep your dog on a lead. Even if you're letting them out in your garden for their final toilet of the day, pop them on a lead just in case. 6. Bring outdoor hutches inside - the garage or shed for example - to help muffle the noise and cover lightly with a blanket for the night. Have a fun and safe Bonfire Night, and give your furry friends a little extra comfort tonight! 🐶🐱 #bonfirenight #guyfawkesnight #fireworkssafety
