We will reach an important milestone this month to integrate our LLM Explainer technology into NEC cotomi generative AI services. Our Human-Centric AI Manager and Chief Research Scientist Dr. Carolin Lawrence recently had the opportunity to present LLM Explainer to NEC President and CEO Takayuki Morita. LLM Explainer helps detect and explain hallucinations in output generated by commonly available LLMs. It links generated text back to original sources, enabling users to verify the accuracy of the information. This helps overcome the need for time-consuming manual checking of LLM-generated text and paves the way for wider adoption of LLM technology in sensitive use cases. We are starting a new industry initiative: Screening Millions of Papers with AI As a computer scientist working at the intersection of AI and innovation, I presented our Research & Innovation Radar 2025 initiative during yesterday's webinar. We are addressing a clear challenge: organizations need smarter ways to discover and utilize research insights. Together with my colleague Oliver Beige ᴾʰᴰ, we have developed a technical concept for an AI-driven radar system. Our approach combines smart filtering technology with customizable prioritization, all built as an open-source solution. We are now seeking early supporters who want to shape this initiative's features and implementation. Organizations can participate at various support levels. Happy Friday. No article for this week. I have been focused on a few things, such as the concept of what is possible. My article last week about AI and Dyslexia hit home for a few people. AI has opened up a ton of possibilities. I want to hear more about how AI is transforming how you do business or communicate. Now, on to this week's thought. As we venture into new technological landscapes, the transformative impact of fiber networks is increasingly evident. These networks are just starting to show their capacity to drive economic growth and enhance our everyday lives. Embracing this potent technology means the vision of a more interconnected and efficient world is no longer just conceivable—it's becoming tangible. Reflecting on the past, from the buzz around ISDN lines to the early days of X.25 networks, the underlying theme has remained constant: connecting people, processes, and tools to foster growth. My involvement with initiatives like the American Rescue Plan and BEAD, and currently with Open Access, underscores this ongoing evolution. We are moving steadily toward a future where a ubiquitous connected environment is not just a plan but the next phase of our digital existence.
