𝐻𝑜𝓁𝒶 𝒻𝓇𝒾𝑒𝓃𝒹𝓈, I'm here thrilled to share with you the experience-sharing session I was able to organize under WITE IEDC RIT . The session was about student's startups and how to shape them and we were blessed to get Miss Anna Thomas as the speaker. The session included various steps and tricks which were to be followed when building a business or a venture. Being the co-founder of the Luova Foundation, the speaker had great experience in the field and was successfully able to handle the students and their vision. She inspired growing young minds and gave adequate knowledge on starting a new firm and described its process. The key points shared were as follows: 1. 𝓘𝓭𝓮𝓪 𝓖𝓮𝓷𝓮𝓻𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓥𝓪𝓵𝓲𝓭𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷 2. A fairly common misconception people - including aspiring entrepreneurs - have about innovation is that it is all about building new products + technology. Unfortunately, this misconception often leads to disappointment and failed ventures when it comes to the real world. In reality, only having great ideas is never enough. In reality, a large proportion of innovation comprises of understanding customers and their pain-points, testing ideas, killing a lot of ideas at early stages, and THEN building new products and tech that fulfill the gap. Perhaps a little less glamorous, but much more fulfilling, and definitely much likelier to lead to success. What do you think the most important part of innovation is? #innovation #entrepreneurship
