Action plans are the first step in ensuring safety and inclusion of the LGBTIQA community. What now needs to occur is the commitment to implement these plans, deliver broad consultation, ensure no pocket is left under-represented. They need to be enduring with clear reporting and measuring of their actual impact. Truthful management along with the ability to make considered changes when it's clear when something isn't empowering the change that was projected. Be bold in leadership, courageous in your advocacy and respectful in your communication. Let's all now take the pledge to no longer ignore the human rights and needs for our loved ones. Statistically you all know someone that identifies with the LGBTIQA community, we are no longer accepting being invisible.

UHC is a fundamental human right, ensuring that everyone, everywhere, has access to essential health services without facing financial hardship. Lifafa Research Foundation recognizes the critical role of governments in ensuring universal access to healthcare, as emphasized by this year's theme: "𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡: 𝐈𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭". As we commemorate this day, let us acknowledge the progress made towards achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and the challenges that remain. 🌈 To recognise the beginning of Pride Month, we wanted to bring awareness to the health challenges LGBTQI+ individuals face.   Did you know? LGBTQI+ communities are more likely to experience worse health outcomes than the general population, find it harder to access services, and have poorer experiences of services when they do access them (Kings Fund 2021).   Reducing health inequalities across the population is one of the key aims of NHS Integrated Care Boards. Every Australian deserves access to quality healthcare without fear of discrimination. For too long, LGBTIQA+ Australians have faced barriers to equitable, inclusive, and affirming care. For the first time in Australia, the Albanese Labor Government is launching a landmark 10-year National Action Plan to improve the health and wellbeing of LGBTIQA+ communities. This plan, shaped by the largest national consultation on LGBTIQA+ health in our nation’s history, tackles stigma, discrimination, and the systemic gaps that impact LGBTIQA+ Australians’ health outcomes.
