Want to grow your business by doing less? The new rules of business strategy. In today's crowded market, doing more isn't the answer. We have too much of everything. It's not about adding features or services. It's about generating demand by creating real value for the right people. Look at Basecamp. They've kept their product simple. Focused on core features. Solved real problems for their users. Your value isn't in offering everything. It's in solving specific problems exceptionally well. Here's how: 1️⃣ Identify your ONE superpower. 2️⃣ Find who needs it most. 3️⃣ Deliver it exceptionally well. I've seen companies thrive by simplifying. They focus. They excel. And they grow. Give less. But give it to the right audience. And make it exceptional. Have you ever felt the pressure to do more and more? Let's break that cycle together. ––– ♻️ Found this useful? Help others by sharing. ✌️ Thank you! Because every company can make the world a little better!

Question to my network: what’s on your mind when considering your (finance) tech stack ? I am looking forward to facilitating a session at Partech's (one of our investor) unconference end of the week and I was wondering what is critical in your eyes, on both sides of the SaaS conundrum: As a buyer, I am mainly looking forward to tools that are not too complex to use, and deliver on their promises in terms of jobs to be done at a fair price. Beyond this, I am looking for reliability ⌚, innovation 💡 and value creation 📈 in proportion to its costs 💰 . As a solution, we try to balance some of the above with the business potential, the costs to maintain and create room to explore venues for expansion. Of course we will explore this from a finance point of view so I also intend to cover a few specific categories based on some of the great work by Ben Murray: - Core accounting and invoicing - Close management and revenue recognition - Forecasting and budgeting - Cap table and employee equity A few other questions I personally keep pondering: - Specialized solutions vs all in one tools ? - Scaling tools internationally across different entities (our Danish acquisition opened my eyes to some of the limitations of our existing stack) - Users management and data portability (T&C: "we will remove all access when you give notice minimum 3 months before end of term and maximum 6 months before", wait, what ?) - Experience of a relevant use of AI within a finance solution (I haven't seen one yet but I bet someone will comment with a pitch for one below) - Best & worst experience of a tool and why (Chatham House rule applies) Anything else we should talk about ? Looking forward to meet again with Guillaume Nordlinger Maximilian Egger Prashant Varsani and get to know Christel Bourgeais Linda A. Basecamp recently redid its website. And it’s a little strange… Some parts are not great! But I’ll only show the stuff that they did great. (I’ve never seen some of these on any other SaaS page!) 1️⃣ Interactive Feature/Video Cards This is an effective way to get people to watch & read about features. When you click on one, it expands to a full-screen page. 2️⃣ “Basecamp” Annotations Annotations are amazing at maintaining attention as people scroll through the page. But you should be careful not to use too many at once! 3️⃣ Clear Use-Cases They show that each person in an average company would use Basecamp with quotes. 💡 When you show use cases, your leads get a clearer picture of how your tool will solve whatever problem they’re facing. (more clarity = more conversions) -------- Want to see if I can improve YOUR site? Shoot me a DM!

If you read one book this year, make it THIS ONE! I read a lot - 41 books so far this year - ended last year with 76. Chief Family Officer by Dave Inglis is truly special and I'd say it's a "critical" tool in your family tool belt. No matter what the shape or size of your family, this book will point you in the right direction, guiding your family to achieve your dreams rather than ambling along, hoping it will all work out. Personally, we've implemented the family basecamp concept and it is a game changer. We set goals, identify obstacles and set a plan quarterly much like a team would at work. The book has the formula making it easy to know what steps we needed to take. You can pick it up or buy it online at all the usual places. You seriously won't regret it. If you pick it up, let me know what you think and which parts you found most useful.

$1,002,063. He logged in from his phone, saw the number in his online course dashboard, took a screenshot, and sent it my way. Me: "How does it feel seeing that number in there?" 😎 Him: "Much better than it felt when I sent the wrong email yesterday 🤣" Yesterday: "Accidentally clicked the send button on the [product] launch email today instead of a week from today 😅 The good news is we made $20K already 😎" That number turned into $65K within 24 hours - not a bad outcome for pressing the wrong button. Even more fun since we're getting closer to $100K days instead of $100K weeks. Now that we've got the audience-product-sales systems in place, it's no longer a question of 'will it work?' but rather, 'how well will it work?' And not just for ourselves, but for students in the latest program we launched. In full disclosure, this isn't my client's first business. As a service-based business owner, it took him 10 years to cross $1M in revenue. In this digital product-based business, it took about 1 year. No hustle and grind. No employees. Just him and me, building systems that scale his profit, impact, and time (without giving up a single-family vacation or the time he volunteers to causes he cares about). I'm not just proud of the work we're doing and the impact it's having, but also the way we're doing it. I want service professionals to know that yes, you can scale your impact from 1-on-1 to 1-to-many without sacrificing quality outcomes for clients. You don't need to sacrifice the quality of outcomes for yourself either - it can be profitable, it doesn't need to destroy your sleep or HRV, and you do have what it takes to scale your impact to the world. Yes, online courses are a way to do that, but the game has changed. If you're already looking for better ways to do these kinds of numbers in 2025, then shoot me a private message. My hands are full through mid-October, but around then, I'll be increasing service capacity to work closely with 1-3 committed professionals (and/or their teams) throughout all of next year (and beyond). Regardless of whether we work together or not, remember: The best gift to yourself and the world will be found on the road called 'making your best even better'. Search your life story and you'll find this road always has, and will forever be, your greatest adventure. Create your tomorrow.
