The Early Equipment Management and Early Product Management pillars within TPM provide the structure needed to avoid these pitfalls, but they are often implemented too late or inefficiently. The goal is to shift the workload and problem-solving efforts from the start-up phase into the design phase, ensuring that teams can hit the ground running when new equipment or products go live.
