lolli On comment feeds everywhere for this story you see the common refrain - we need more players to be noble, to sacrifice for the good of the team and to do more of this so that teams and organizations can win. And even though we are talking players making multi million salaries for sports franchises that make multi billions in dollars all while enjoying multi million and now even billion dollar public ally funded subsidies for stadiums and facilities it highlights a trend that applies to all workers everywhere. This seems to be the same for the regular folk out there as well. If GM, Ford and others are to just stay alive they need and rely on worker concessions. If Twitter is to become profitable it needs drastic layoffs and the remaining workers to treble their productivity. If Google, Facebook and <insert large fabulously profitable tech oligarchy member> are to hit beautiful profit targets and keep labour costs in their favour they all needed in the past year to coordinate several sync’d and perfectly rounded cuts of 5k some 10k per round. Remember for some - sacrifice is the only key to success and for the worker survival.
In a rare move, Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson signed a contract extension worth far less than he’d have made in a year’s time. New York hopes it brings a championship roster.

🏈 Could flag football contribute to the global growth of the NFL? 🏈 📢 News broke earlier this week that the NFL and the International Federation of American Football are considering launching an elite Flag Football league. 🏟 With Flag Football confirmed as an event for LA28, the two organisations see an elite league as a great way to promote the sport ahead of the Summer Olympics. 🏅 Over the last few years, flag football has become more prominent, with the NFL promoting the non-contact version of the sport within the Pro Bowl Games event. 🗺 Unsurprisingly, some of the key markets in discussion for hosting a flag league or events also mirror the NFL's key strategic growth markets, such as Germany, the UK, China, and Australia. 📈 We have seen the success of initiatives like Jag Tag have a significant impact at the grassroots level, which resulted in creating more fans of the sport. 🎯 Do you see a pro flag league working, and are there any other sports the NFL and IFAF can learn from? #sportsbiz #nfl #LA28
