Energy Efficiency 2024 is out now! 🚨 It shows doubling global energy efficiency improvements will require stronger policy implementation & cooperation - doing so would improve energy security, reduce energy costs and lower emissions More ➡️ https://iea.li/3UGxSUZ
Thanks for sharing! A stronger push in policy implementation is urgently needed to meet the target.
Efficiency improvements are key for near term solutions while we continue to innovate for future capital projects! Good to see this report focused on how we can better utilize our current resources!
Great post! 🌍 I appreciate the insights on energy efficiency and sustainability. One area that could be further elaborated on is the critical role of data centers in the energy transition. ⚡Data centers are the backbone of our digital economy, and their energy usage is significant. As we move towards a more digital and connected world, it’s essential to focus on making data centers more energy-efficient and integrating renewable energy sources. ⚡According to McKinsey; the power needs of data centers are expected to grow to about 3x times higher than current capacity by the end of the decade, going from between 3% and 4% of total US power demand today to between 11% and 12% in 2030. ⚡Including a section on data centers would provide a comprehensive view of how various sectors contribute to the energy transition.
Accelerating energy efficiency is indeed essential to achieving our climate and cost-saving targets. A 4% annual improvement isn't just a goal—it’s an urgent necessity for sustainable energy security and economic resilience worldwide.
Parabéns Gustavo Santos Masili e International Energy Agency (IEA) , pela divulgação da eficiência energética. Nossa contribuição sincera: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/mayorca_andr%C3%A9-miceli-activity-7261036195495731200-Dqou?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_android
It is crucial that the world transitions into hydrogen energy sources to achieve the energy efficiency targeted it will lead towards the reduction of energy costs and minimise the emissions for sustainable future for our children and future generations.
Great to see the push for energy efficiency, but 1% improvement just isn’t going to cut it. We need a serious acceleration in policy and action to meet the ambitious goals.
The IEA report shows energy efficiency progress is slow, just 1% in 2024. We have to keep pushing forward! Energy efficiency remains our “first fuel” and it´s essential to reducing emissions and saving energy. The best fuel is the one we don’t need.
I don't know what the future holds, but I hope we can achieve greater energy security.
can unleash process efficiency to scientific potential in HVAC service # creation of tools for understandability become necessary # establish energy efficiency programs for gaining success.
1moWhatever said about ENERGY EFFICIENCY in the report were trustworthy for all the countries. This will greatly help achieving energy transition in short time at a lower costs. But, genuinely its trajectory needs a strong understanding on energy wasting sequences in any given applications. Thereafter the first step shall be understanding the potential of recoverable energy from the applications. If not the tasks would have been unfinished with rooms for further extraction. This may lead to never ending story on energy efficiency. Subsequently plan to go for delivering the located maximum benefits of energy efficiency. Time for all the governments to focus on the above mentioned pathway for aiming the hidden energy efficiency to help first themselves.
