Then explain how the position you are applying for aligns more closely with your goals and values. Watch this video to learn how to answer this question without badmouthing your current employer. If you're actively looking for new roles or opportunities and have been requesting recruiters to send you the job description via email instead/ in place of having a conversation with them, you might be missing out on landing an interview by at least 50% - 60%. and here's why: #Time: During the time you take to respond, the recruiter might have spoken to and processed many more candidates. #Professionalconnection: You lose the chance to build a professional connection with the recruiter, and your initial conversation with them is quite impactful. #Makingway: The job description is sometimes complicated and lengthy and the recruiter holds the ability to analyze your skills and match them with the primary skills of the role. This helps you to still make your way through the role even if you're not a 100% match. #insights: You can easily get important insights about the role through the recruiter which will only be possible if you're willing to give those 5 minutes on the call. Don't miss out on valuable opportunities, take the time to speak to your recruiter and make the most of your job search! #jobsearchtips #recruitment #newroles

When asked, "Why do you want to work here?" in a job interview, it's easy to feel anxious. Many stumble on this question, focusing on the wrong elements. Typical replies like, "I align with your mission and values," or 'I'm excited about your future plans," are common. Some even venture to say, "I need a better salary," or "I'm seeking new opportunities." These generic responses only reiterate what interviewers have heard countless times, and they merely reflect your needs, not what you can offer. A better approach is to say, "I believe my strong team-building skills can contribute significantly, especially in addressing the issues you mentioned about team A's performance." Remember, the hiring manager's primary concern is whether investing in you will reap benefits for the company. So, provide a response that addresses this concern, and you'll stand out. #careeradvice #jobinterviewtips #personalbranding #advancedskills

Share interview questions ahead of time & see what happens!! You will find candidates who prepared well for those questions and also you will find candidates who didn't prepare well for those questions. From these two groups you will be easily able to see how many are willing to prepare, practice and present well in the process. You will also see how many are still not willing to prepare despite showing easy path. This approach of sharing questions ahead of time involves selection mindset whereas the traditional approach involves rejection mindset. We may not accept it openly but that's the sad reality. Hey after sharing all questions, anyone will answer easily is what many would think. But to your surprise and shock you will find only a few candidates using this opportunity positively and coming out shining. It will simplify your hiring process. You can list down various questions for various open positions in your job portal and see the magical results this approach will give. Try it out. I bet you will succeed. If you work in Talent Acquisition and you are good at your job, you DO NOT ghost candidates who are in the interview process (especially if they have reached back out to you). No one is that busy. It literally takes less than three minutes to say, "Hey there. Thanks for reaching out. At this time we are going to move forward with another candidate." Or "I apologize for my delay in getting back to you. We are still finalizing what next steps in the process will look like and who will be involved. I will reach out to you by the end of the week with an update." Rejection is a part of the job hunting process. But completely ignoring candidates, the sole reason you have a job, is completely unprofessional. So please, if you are in Talent Acquisition, and a candidate that is in the interview process reaches out to you, take 3 minutes and send a response. Thanks. #hr #humanresources #employeeexperience #talent #hiring #leaders #people #leadership #jobs #jobseekers #culture #culturematters #business #growth #branding #strategy #hrstrategy #interviews #tips #linkedin #linkedinconnections #talentnexa #aach

What should we do during Christmas and New Year to help us have a good start for career searching in 2025? 1. Make a list of companies you've interviewed with in 2023 and 2024 2. Find out the name of interviewers, recruiters and hiring managers 3. Research on LinkedIn to see if they still work for the same company 1. If they work for the same company, just greeting them and let them know you have been improved a lot since last year, and hope to have an opportunity to work with them again. For hiring manager, you can say last interview is an unforgettable one, for recruiters and interviewers, you can try to find some roles online which aligns to their expertise. 2. If they have been working for a different company, just go and let them know you still remember them after XX months. And let them know you see they are in a different company now, see if they can refer you to their new company. This way is very useful when connect to a recruiter. Let's have a try this new year, and you will land your dream job very soon;) #jobsearch #networking #referal #marketresearch #connection #interviewskills

𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲-𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁. This is what you need to know. 👇 We recently spoke to Luke Dooley about what his top tips are for running an effective interview process, this is what he said: "Candidates are being more selective than ever. With multiple competing job offers coming in, they can be more critical and picky when it comes to job offers. To stay ahead, hiring managers should consider these tips: 👉 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗞𝗲𝘆: A lengthy and drawn-out hiring process can deter top talent. 👉 𝗕𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲: Offer competitive salaries and benefits to attract top candidates. 👉 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Be realistic about your budget constraints and adjust your expectations accordingly." Are there any tips you would add? 🤔 #InterviewTips #CandidateDrivenMarket #Competitive #SoftwareEngineering #Realm

How recruiters stand out to me upon first impression… When I apply for jobs some positions make me want to say “thanks but no thanks” while other recruiters leave me with a positive feeling as I look forward to every step of the interview process❤️ Good recruiters don’t just try to make the conversation quick and try to get me in the door as soon as possible, this screams high turn over! I enjoy when recruiters are able to elaborate upon details, ask great questions (in a way that I don’t feel tricked) and don’t shy away from things that are important like salary or benefits When recruiters take their time, I feel as if they aren’t just having a conversation to achieve their goals, they are helping me reach mine I love when they have positive energy that shows they believe in what they are doing and what they describe matches the research I’ve done Good recruiters are organized, follow up and keep you in the loop every step so that you feel prepared and confident that you are making a good decision To all the recruiters out there that care about making a job search meaningful, keep doing what you do!! #recruiterlife #careerdevelopment #jobsearchtips

❗️Ghosting. Ghosting during the job interview process has been a hot topic for quite some time. But let me tell you one thing I know and stands true...in my experience as a hiring manager, and even as a top candidate in the past, great candidates don't get away because great managers run as fast as they can towards them. ✅If they really want you, they will reach out. That's hard to hear in some instances where you really liked the company but they aren't responding back to you - but I am serious when I say when a top candidate is identified, they don't get ignored. ✅They get bombarded with communication and job offers. So do your due diligence by following up via e-mail and phone call- but if they ghost you, leave them. 💯Don't let their lack of communication define your success. Go find a company that values you from day one onward and picks you as the top candidate today! As a recruiter, it's often a rollercoaster of emotions 🙂 . From the joy of finding that perfect candidate whose skills fit like a glove, to the frustration of endless no-shows for interviews. Sometimes, there's that excitement when a candidate surprises you with their enthusiasm and potential, and other times, the disappointment of promising resumes that don't quite match up in person. There are moments of pride when you see someone you placed thriving in their new role, and moments of anxiety wondering if you've made the right choice for your client. It's a blend of hope and apprehension as you navigate through countless CVs, hoping to unearth the diamond 💎 among the stones. Yet, through it all, there's a sense of purpose and satisfaction in connecting people with opportunities. The highs and lows are all part of the journey of shaping careers and businesses. It's an emotional investment that keeps us going, striving to make that perfect match that will make both sides smile 😊. #RecruitmentLife #TalentAcquisition #HRCommunity #CareerDevelopment #JobSearch #RecruiterLife #HumanResources #JobOpportunities #Staffing #HiringProcess #CandidateExperience #EmploymentAgency #CareerPlacement #Headhunting #JobMarket #InterviewTips #ResumeWriting #WorkplaceCulture #RecruitingStrategies #JobPlacement
