A bit of what we've been working on 🙌 This project was filled with interesting challenges. The Arena has some tubes of LEDs on the ceiling, and we had to make good use of them. One of the things I was in charge of was to create a way to talk to the lights in a manner that was easy to author new content and easy to connect to game events. The result is a canvas texture-based approach, where by the use of traditional animation techniques in our game engine we can create new content for the lights. Those animations are then triggered by game events (pressed a button, got hit by an obstacle, and more). For some animations a couple of custom shaders had to be made. ✅ Easy to author new content ✅ Easy to connect to game events ✅ Almost 1:1 with the physical build (what you see is what you get) ✅ Dev mode with instant feedback while animating allows for quick iteration Super fun to work on, and guests are loving the result! 🥰
