What does it take to be a true leader in the food service industry in 2024? It's not just hard work, and dedication. It's not even culinary execution, customer service or a hospitality mindset. It's understanding the connection between then all. It's recognizing and celebration our people. The ones who are the first ones in in the morning, and the last ones to leave at night. Last week we had an opportunity to recognize theses people Elior North America. Our first ever- "Chefs of the Year" ! Nominated by their peers, this award celebrates all of the items mentioned as well as a chefs ability to lead, create community, and deliver the best overall experience for their clients, and fellow employees. When I dreamed up this award it was to ensure our chefs feel they have tremendous value, and ownership of their kitchens and work places. A celebration of their hard work, and long days.
