"Everything you can imagine is real. Visualization without limits. 💫 What is comfort in today's world? Is it just a matter of physical comfort or something more? Can everyone afford it? 💚 These are the questions that this year's edition of the #lodzdesignfestival will answer. Wanting to share the passion and knowledge of creative work, we decided to submit the gruszka Art studio with the project: Everything you can imagine is real. Visualization without limits. 💫 Courage was added by an interview with Tomek Rygalik, who says, "Combining passion and learning in its field deepens awareness to the point that by realizing oneself, one can do really good things for the world." 🌎 💙 Artur Gruszka uses free applications Blender and Krita in his work. The project aims to share broad knowledge of how comfortable their use is.😉 Creating art for everyone. Visual content on the Internet is a powerful medium for artistic expression. We want to encourage learning and popularizing 3D graphics 🌐 Talk about Blender, which revolutionized the graphics industry and popularized the idea of sharing products under free licenses. Only two weeks left to visit Future Generation at MAD Brussels . Here is a video of the pieces I present there thanks to Emilie Sornasse. UNO: UNO is a coffee table made 100% in Brussels, using wood and machines from the city. Created from spalted beech wood, sourced from the Brussels region, this piece draws its design inspiration from the ESP-32, an iconic electronic component, modeled, scaled up fifteen times and cut with a precise CNC Machine to achieve its distinctive shape. This table is made from spalted beechwood, a type of wood generally bypassed by industrial processes due to its irregular patterns. By embracing this material, UNO reveals the marble-like patterns inherent to the wood. Thanks to : Sam Van Gils and Robin Berrewaerts from #lucaconstruct UNO is available at Sonian Wood Coop Décors: Décors is a process-driven work that explores the potential of machines to generate patterns on ceramic tiles. Traditional techniques like sgraffito, brushtrokes, airbrushing and mishima have been reinterpreted through the use of CNC machines and laser engravers, blending craftsmanship with digital precision. In reference to ancient cave paintings, the glaze is based on iron oxide, one of the earliest pigments known to humanity. This archeological reference invites reflection on the transfer of knowledge across generations, especially in an era where digital media is increasingly transient and ephemeral. The patterns showcased in Décors range from the creative misuse of scientific coding libraries to artificially generated interpretations of common myths, highlighting the tension between tradition and technological innovation. Carbon Technostructure: The cloud plotter, developped in collaboration with Gijs de Heij, is part of Carbon Technostructures, a project that visualises the digital carbon footprint of cultural venues. It works by plotting on steam the carbon impact of the venues’ website in real time. During the Future Generation exhibition, it displays the carbon impact of a visit to Mad.brussels website in real time, taking into account the energy sources that are powering its hosting servers located in Roubaix, France. The cloud plotter was created in the framework of the Imagining Ecological Futures residency organised by the KIKK Galaxy and the Goethe-Institut Bruxelles in partnership with the CCN / Centre culturel de Namur.

During the Dutch Design Week we paid a lot of attention to the relatively new fibre crop Silphium Perforliatum (Silphy or cupplant). A plant that lends itself perfectly to the manufacture of various building materials and at the same time contributes to a healthy soil. At the exhibition we showed the Silphy sheet material we developed, processed into a Stackable Stool designed by Piet Hein Eek. On our beautiful LOADS Collection Coreopsis 23 bench Simone van Es🌱 received several people who work with this crop. She spoke with them about their role in the production chain and other developments in bio-based construction. Today in ROOTS talk number 1, a conversation with John Smits, Managing Director of SAM Panels, the producer of the Silphy sheet material. He shares his vision on this new water-resistant sheet material and a possible future role as a building material.
