𝐀𝐊𝐌𝐈 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐚 🌍📚 From May 8th to 10th, three educators from iekAKMIedu, Greece, participated in the esteemed #UniserTeacherWeek in Bologna. This event, which drew over 100 participants from across Europe, centered around internationalization and the design of Erasmus+ projects. The teachers engaged in a three-day intensive program focused on peer learning, inspiring collaboration, and project development. The Uniser Teacher Week was structured to encourage participants to #learn, #build, #cooperate, and #network with fellow educators. Through a combination of workshops, discussions, and networking opportunities, the teachers were able to: 🌟 Gain inspiration from colleagues and other practitioners in the field. 📝 Develop the framework for their upcoming Erasmus+ projects. 🤝Forge new partnerships and collaborations to enhance their project initiatives. The event's emphasis on peer learning fostered an environment where educators could exchange ideas, share best practices, and collectively work towards advancing international cooperation and project innovation within the realm of education. The participation of AKMI's teachers in the Uniser Teacher Week underscores the institution's commitment to promoting internationalization and fostering collaborations that enrich educational experiences for students and educators alike. #ErasmusPlus makes a difference! We want to show you how in our Impact Report 2023, which follows on from our previous annual reports. This year, for the first time, we are providing an abridged and adapted English translation of the report. Alongside the #DAADeuroletter, our magazine about Erasmus+ higher education cooperation, also available online in German and English since last year, this annual review is our key communication tool. It lays an important role in raising awareness about the programme and the opportunities it offers within Germany’s higher education sector. Its target audiences are financial sponsors, German universities, other academic organisations and multipliers in politics, business and society as well as members of the general public interested in learning more about Erasmus+. In this English version, we offer you an insight into our work as the Erasmus+ National Agency Higher Education. The overarching theme is impact, as reflected in the new name of the report. What did we want to achieve? What have we achieved? And how did we achieve these results? We answer these questions by taking a closer look at 4 thematic areas that were particularly important to us in 2023: inclusion and diversity, sustainability, (student) engagement and (democratic) participation and Erasmus+ at my university. https://lnkd.in/ehtNrVYG

👩💻 Fondazione Time2 hosted the third day of the #HECSOs 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 in Turin, Italy, and introduced students to the Foundation's approaches and methodologies in promoting new perspectives on #diversity and #disability through the testimony of Chiara Basile, Head of Programs and Development, and the presentation of 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀. 📌 The #Time2Foundation's approach aims to involve #LocalCommunities in defining new narratives to recognise barriers and obstacles to people's full recognition. 🤝It's an action aimed at ‘Building bridges’, as the following lecture by Dora Heracleous, a member of SYNTHESIS Center for Research & Education, a project partner, was titled: it was an opportunity to explore - precisely - the responsibilities that lie in #languages, #codes, #symbols and communication #strategies for generating a 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 and the 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 of their rewriting. 🇪🇺 𝗛𝗘𝗖𝗦𝗢𝘀 (Higher Education institutions and Civil Society Organisations together for community engagement) is a project that is promoted by 8 partners (4 Universities and 4 Civil Society Organisations) from 6 UE Countries (Austria, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Romania, Spain): Università degli Studi di Torino (Project Coordinator), SYNTHESIS Center for Research & Education, S-NODI Learning Community, University of Thessaly, Community and Neighbourhood Work of #CaritasWien Caritas Austria, Mind2Innovate #M2I, Universitatea Națională de Știință și Tehnologie Politehnica București #UNSTPB former Universitatea POLITEHNICA din București #UPB, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid #UC3M 🇪🇺 #HECSOS #HIGHEREDUCATION #ERASMUSPLUS #HECSOSSUMMERSCHOOL #BuildingBridges #Communities #narratives

I have to say this. Spoiler alert, I am going to brag about my team in the Global Teachers for a Sustainable Future Project. I don't think many people out there can learn so much from their partners and be so inspired by their work, as I am. And I don't know if many people end their meetings with a BIG smile on their faces and a feeling of ADMIRATION and GRATITUDE. I am proud of my partners and associates for how involved they are and how well they perform. And I am grateful for being so lucky to have them on my team. Yesterday we had our September follow-up meeting, in which we shared the progress made in internationalizing the curriculum and developing a Moodle platform to host the courses and other resources. Exciting proposals came out of this meeting, this time focused on student learning preferences: - Action-oriented tasks: The program should have tasks that let international students work independently and in groups. - Embedded skills: Embed technical and digital skills throughout the course. This approach helps students learn in a real-world context. - Choice and Flexibility: Students should have options for tasks and products. They can work alone and then work together in groups. - Asynchronous Work: Asynchronous work is better for coordinating sessions across time zones. This lets students do tasks on their own while still working with their classmates. - Use real media. Students should use real media in their tasks. This includes training on how to work internationally and access to videos, tutorials, and other resources. I can’t thank Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera enough for this opportunity, and I can't thank our partners enough for their brilliant work! Global Case Study Challenge, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Jönköping University, Ibn Haldun University, Technische Universität Braunschweig, Transilvania University of Brasov, REDS / SDSN Spain, Universidad de Monterrey, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, RCI ASCUN. This is an Erasmus+ KA-220 project, co-funded by the European Union, and it could not have happened without the priceless support of Agencia Nacional SEPIE Erasmus Estudiar en España. #sustainability #internationalization #globalstudents #globalteachers #admiration #gratitude

Diversity, one of the principles and values of the Internet -------------------------------------------------------------- One way to achieve diversity in the digital space is by encouraging the development of user-generated content at a local level, as well as fostering digital literacy within local communities. Empowering individuals and communities to create and share content in their native languages and from their unique perspectives enhances cultural representation and inclusivity; promoting digital literacy skills allows individuals to participate actively in online platforms, create digital content, and engage with diverse artistic expressions. Multilingualism is a fundamental aspect of promoting and developing cultural diversity online. To ensure the internet is accessible to everyone in our global society, content needs to be available in multiple languages. -------- Excerpt from the DiploFoundation course Internet Technology and Policy course I'm presently taking. This very portion of the course caught my attention because it relates to the concept of Universal Acceptance (UA) which is a project handled by Universal Acceptance Steering Group - UASG. Thanks to Diplo for the generosity in giving me one of the full scholarships that makes it possible to take this enviable course.
