Children represent a significant portion of trafficking victims worldwide. The challenge of identifying and protecting them is immense due to underreporting and insufficient resources. We must develop and implement better systems tailored to their unique needs. These systems should focus on providing comprehensive support for victims and ensuring that traffickers are held accountable for their actions. Africa Youth Growth Foundation [AYGF] is dedicated to ensuring the end of educational injustice through various initiatives. Our BLOOM program aims to bring 2 million children back into the classroom, providing them with the education and opportunities they deserve. Additionally, our RESPTIP initiative is focused on putting an end to human trafficking by addressing its root causes and providing support for victims Together, we can create a safer world for our children. ASA Association aims to fight poverty and exclusion and to develop communities in Romania, especially Roma communities. For many Roma, the cycle of becoming stigmatised and marginalised starts at an early age. Dorcas Aid România and ASA Association work together to address these issues and support the access of Roma children to education. Ioana: ‘In partnership with Dorcas Romania, we implement a complex programme that meets the needs of children and their parents. First and foremost, we want to educate adults about the importance of education for their children because Roma children are more likely to attend school if their parents are supportive.’ ‘The children in our programmes don’t just go to school. We also involve them in after-school activities, summer camps, and special events where they learn life and social skills. Finally, we address the issue of social exclusion at a community level by involving mayors, school administrators, doctors, and social workers in our programme and by organising public events.’ Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/emWuZC-3 #RomaDay #InternationalRomaDay #Roma #HumanRights #Discrimination #Romania #ForThoseInNeed

🌍 There may never be enough money to stop GBV, but there are enough people to create change. As we commemorate the 16 Days of Activism in Lilongwe, Malawi, Ujamaa Pamodzi is proud to have empowered teachers from six districts through our Empowerment Transformation Training (ETT) program. We know that at the point of attack, the girl is always alone, but with the right skills, she can escape and protect herself. Boys, too, want to do the right thing—when equipped with the tools and understanding, they can become allies in the fight against GBV. Ending gender-based violence isn’t just about resources; it’s about empowering individuals to take action. Together, we are building communities where respect, dignity, and safety prevail. NEYIF Secures #Release of #Children from Remand Home The North East Youth Initiative For Development (NEYIF), in partnership with UNICEF Nigeria, has achieved a significant milestone in child protection. Five children, including two adolescent girls and three boys, have been successfully released from the Remand Home in Tandari, Potiskum, Yobe State. This release is part of a broader UNICEF-supported program aimed at protecting and reintegrating vulnerable children in Yobe State. The initiative focuses on providing alternative pathways to formal justice, such as counseling, community service, and restorative justice. By prioritizing the best interests of the child, NEYIF and UNICEF are working to ensure that these children have a brighter future. To further support the reintegration process, NEYIF and UNICEF are providing essential services like #psychosocial support and vocational training. Additionally, the organizations are actively engaging with community leaders and law enforcement to promote child-friendly justice practices. This collaborative approach is crucial in creating a more just and equitable society for all #children #ForEveryChild #ChildProtection #UNICEF #NEYIF
